Good to see the buying coming in. The sells edged it at c900 v 700 and the sell off of 30% over last month can be seen across loads of stocks and not as a result of poor news, just leverage being squeezed across the board. Great buy opps and this is one of them at this level.

News tomorrow anyone ?

DB - the management buying the asset at 12p a CASP share when the price is 7p seems a good deal for us ;o) also...remember, they are getting paid in CASP shares and they are holding on to these tightly...we all need to ask ourselves why! Why do they want more CASP shares and why are they holding them so tightly??? Answer is obvious - time frame is not. Anyone with a long-term view will be adding at this level imo.

x2 - totally agree...could wait for 6's but imo - everyone is waiting for that! Still a very nice price to pick up a few with the expected news! Just need Clive to give us a belter with 801 and A5 flowing ;o)

A little more liquid willing to take 150k sells @ 7.25p whereas earlier no prices quoted, market best only !

x2 - As far as we have been told - they are looking for 'a couple of billion' as a buy -out price. I think this is just the market being silly as has happened several times. For me, CASP is a long-term investment but I couldn't resist picking up a few more at this price. I'm not at all bothered about the wait. Next Spring is fine by me - although I am hoping for an rns of A5 or 801 flow before the Winter plus an update on the MJF wells/licence.

Looking a cheap target at 122m, luckily owned by a few or unlucky if they are getting looks after on the other side of the deal.Fear and uncertainty = opportunity.

konil - Lord Limerick has now purchased 3.7million CASP shares at an average of around 10p. He is a decent and honest guy and is very bullish on the future of CASP. Currently, there is very little interest on the buy side for CASP and mms are taking the price down with this knowledge. We have been here several times in the past and we normally end up with a 60% bounce so wipe out those who sold at the lower levels. I have bought more as nothing has changed from last week. We are still in the process of getting our deeps to flow and the future is still very bright ;o)

that article (link posted by hallow) on ast and cc's involvement is dated 30 nov 2017. at first i thought the drop here might be peeps taking fright at cc's record at ast, then i noticed the date, so maybe its nothing to do with that.

i think the general market weakness, if it were to be reflected in casp sp, would have already played in. in any case casp is so far under radar it probably wouldn't be much impacted, other than peeps suffering elsewhere and having to raise funds from selling here.

that leaves a nasty possibility for the on-going recent weakness, one or more items in the casp ops agenda has gone wrong, maybe a p&a on a deep, or bad news at mjf, who knows, and its leaking into the share price hope i'm way off track here.

back to cc and his antics elsewhere, my take is that oraz (and satyl) will not stand for any such nonsense here and indeed there has not been the dilution here to date. they may even be considering a replacement, someone with strong oily credentials.

i will reduce my cc probity ratio to 1%, based not so much only on the ast article but the absolute nonsense he spouted for most of last year in those beauty parade interviews, all the way through to the november nonsense that was released.

we have 2 main hopes here
- the large oraz family and satyl holdings, usually an uncomfortable situation for pis but maybe a good thing in this instance
- the zero external debt position

i do hope oraz and satyl will attend to casp soon if they aren't already on the case.

meanwhile, i'll try and stay calm and carry on but its getting very very uncomfortable.

hallow - considering that around 70% of the shares are tightly held, I can't see the share price going much lower.

Mms have dropped it again on around 500k volume. Very small and shows that they are in the collecting phase. This is NOT AST and shares are NOT placed into the market on a regular basis and discounted prices.

Ngms,Jonny, i'd agree with some of it but our BMD does like to exaggerate. 32p, absolute nonsense, that only happened back in 2007 on Agnani well success that watered out. Hutchinson and the Henderson cash .didnt arrive for ages after that. He's sensationalising as usual !!! Bull,No volume and no froth in the share price CASP as with many AIM stocks are on the retreat. I've taken some more HUR/SXX/JAY today and will add some more Caspers.Each to their own.Tick, tock.Smarty
