31/8/2007 13:12 | Looks like another test of support... This has to go one way or another fairly soon. Support and resistance points don't last forever. One has to give way. | musashi san

31/8/2007 11:45 | 08:02 50K trade @ 121 is AT (SETS) trade. A broker/market maker looking to fill an order would have put such an order on bid which was filled. 11:07 55K O trade at 122 appears that the position transferred to the client. There are strong buy at 121 level today. No theories though however. Two hits at 121 AT trades at 11:13 (looking indicating a hit on bid for a market market/broker order) followed by two O trades of 10K 121.175 trades reported at 11:32. To me it seems that the broker/MM is buying for a large client. He/She is putting orders on/near bid and once filled, he/she is reporting the client trade at slightly higher price. Buy At Bid - Very common practice when you (as broker) want to get best price for your customer for a large order. | v01101999
31/8/2007 11:05 | Strange price action this morning. Why the initial rise? Why now the drop on little selling? All I can think of is the 50k reported sell was an early buy which got the MM's all excited... then as they realised it wasn't going to be followed by multiple buying, they've gradually lowered the price back down again. Any other theories? | musashi san
31/8/2007 08:50 | 08:12 31Aug07 DJN-DJ MARKET TALK: Carter & Carter Acquisition Shows Bank Support DJ MARKET TALK: Carter & Carter Acquisition Shows Bank Support 0712 GMT (Dow Jones) Carter & Carter's (CART.LN) acquisition of training company Blackwater House is evidence that banks are still supportive of the company, says an analyst. Says he was originally surprised that a bank would lend to the group. Adds that although the GBP1M deal was only a small one, "the company will still have to do some refinancing that will involve equity." Shares -0.2% at 121p. 30/8/2007 16:46 | I can see that next attack on 130 level building up and once conquerred, we should be targeting 217-220 region. That should coincide with the year end result announcement and CEO appointment. I think the bank related worries can be safely put away after todays announcement. The banks would not allow the company to spend cash if they were at all worried about its ability to repay debt. | v01101999
30/8/2007 16:44 | interesting auction (74 K shares traded) and there was a large Market Order to buy. Good positive close. Could have been better but the indications are that there are still buyers in the market willing to come at dips and lower prices. 117-119 is now certainly a good support region and we should see a bounce up from here to test 130 again. Interestingly the resistance at 130 is making a triangle pattern, which is bullish sign. This stock has twice attempted to breach it, each time making a higher low, right on the trend support line (58, 84, 89, 99, 116.5). I would not be surprised the next attack at 130 by tomorrow. A firm close above 130 would put 217 as the next target. Interesting! | v01101999
30/8/2007 16:34 | I have to agree with other posts. With the mkt cap at only £50m compared to £500m 4 or so months ago the market is still pricing C&C as a dead duck. However today's news tells me there's some quacks left in this one. It might not go back to laying as many golden eggs as it used to, at least not for a while, but the b*gger's still alive! Carter appears to be badly mis-priced IMHO, and that's all that matters in this game. | references
30/8/2007 16:24 | I see no reason why this cannot reach 650p within 12 months!! | robinbastard
30/8/2007 15:37 | I think we might be selling around the same time! we need to look at some other buyer when that happens. | v01101999
