23/8/2007 11:52 | Intra-day downward sloping wedge forming from the peak above 132p ! Looks like an upward breakout is IMMINENT !! ;-) ' Wedge. A chart pattern in which two converging lines moving in the same direction connect a group of price peaks and troughs to form a wedge. Upward wedges indicate an interruption in a declining trend, and downward wedges indicate an interruption in a rising trend. ' | ![]() musashi san
23/8/2007 11:37 | Hey, you get to learn so much on these forums... I just had to look up the word sanguine.... that makes one new word today to make up for the 4 I forgot yesterday | flingwing
23/8/2007 11:33 | references, Wow! You've just surprised me! Good, clear post, and much better than your one-line ramps ;-) | ![]() musashi san
23/8/2007 11:31 | I am a sanguine sane investor I assure you! and do not get overly excited - in fact I am yet to be convinced that CART will definitely get out of this mess, but, as most of you will know, you get the biggest price movements in the early aftermath of the biggest opposing moves. The timing is the tricky bit - falling knives etc - but we have been seeing a base forming so this will be giving buyers confidence and at the least prevent many existing holders from selling out in the short term. Hence my feeling that a strong close thru 130p will spell trouble for anyone short. And as we know all shorters fear being trapped in that horrible situation where they could be running an infinite loss! | ![]() references
23/8/2007 11:26 | I think they did it last time as well .. went just below 3% (abotu 1 MM shares) and then added later on. | ![]() v01101999
23/8/2007 11:26 | Bear Sterns seem to be having a few financial problems currently, i would imagine that may expelain the reduction. | ![]() gooner6
23/8/2007 11:24 | Volume today now already 85% of yesterday's ... Could be a biggie on the volume front today. | ![]() musashi san
23/8/2007 11:21 | v, No. They went below 3%, It could mean they sold out completely, or it could mean they now hold 2.99% | ![]() musashi san
23/8/2007 11:21 | Although an RNS stating increased holdings is a greater positive (and we will surely see some soon) it must be seen as a good sign that the share price has still been rising whilst a major holder has sold out. | roommove
23/8/2007 11:16 | AM I correct in reading that Bear Sterns Sold out? | ![]() v01101999
23/8/2007 11:13 | Lol! However rampy references sounds, bear in mind - This droped from £12 to £3, then from £3 to 50p in a very short space of time. There currently appears to be an insitutional buyer as large blocks are being bought, forcing the price up quickly. The 20-day MA (93p) is rising nicely, and the next important (imo) moving average is the falling 50-day which may act as resistance. The 50-day is at 289p. 14-day RSI is still only around 40, and doesn't give an overbought signal until 70+. I'm keeping an open mind as to how high this can bounce ;-) | ![]() musashi san
23/8/2007 11:09 | The shorters will be absolutely kacking themselves if this closes well tonight. I suspect that there'll be very little stock around for them to buy back till the price hits the original lows around 280p when another tranche of stale bulls will come out of the wood work. IMHO. | ![]() references
23/8/2007 11:02 | .......the 124p resistance point has been well pierced. Just needs to close above 124p for a confirmed breakout. Agree with references post above. | ![]() smelgy
23/8/2007 11:00 | A close above 130p would be a major signal. Blue sky to 280p or so. IMHO. | ![]() references
