.........guru - my broker believes the true current figure is around 8.3%. When you look at the upwards movement in the share price over the past week, it's actually gone hand-in-hand with an increase in the short positions. very interesting indeed. A short squeeze (on good news or short covering) could be very dramatic for the price.

on 20aug there was a big leap up early morning then the price gradually dropped,
perhaps that was the last big futile shorting exercise. before tues 21aug afternoon when we began to move solidly up

did you see the X trade at 120? This is Market Maker to Market Maker? Seems like someone is adjusting the short position. Who could be the seller? It is a huge volume.

.........how interesting to see that the "short" position on Aug 20 stood at over 12%, and yet the price has risen.

IF there are such large short positions and a good RNS is issued the squeeze on the share price will be dramatic. Will be interesting to see if this figure comes back to around 8% in the next few days, as my broker believes the true short position is around 8.3%.

we have a lot more sellers in that region. I would say we would remain around 130 (probably a tad bit below 130) today. But the price pull is positive and if we can consolidate here and do not break downward, we have a good chance to hit 150 soon.

130 is proving to be a tough resistence. Lot of volume to sell after 130. We need a solid buyer to breach it.

........looking at today's trading chart, we are making higher lows all the time. That is another bullish sign along with the resistance point being overcome.

.............yes - it's singed shorters. Just going back to the percentage of shares on loan - the 9.4% figure quoted yesterday was for August 17 - so basically the figs are roughly a week out of date on advfn. Maybe my broker was right when he said the actual up to date figure had fallen to 8.3%.
