24/8/2007 08:17 | we are in interesting time .. let us see what comes out of the 1.4 MM share trade. It could be a fund selling to a someone hedgefund/market maker with short position. In this case, the shorting party got a real good deal as in open market the seller could have easily sold such volume in smaller chunks at much better price given the recent demand. Or it can be a cross reported after a large position accumulated over several days and then transferred to the real buyer (because it crossed the reporting threshold). That would do give support to the Bid related accumulation. Waiting for the next development. Still holding. Have placed some modest buy orders at lower levels just in case it dips to those levels. | ![]() v01101999

23/8/2007 16:04 | v01101999, the cross trade is not a mm to mm trade. Although reported, the mm's don't deal with the trade, so it should not affect the share price It is classed as 2 trades, a buy and a sell. Someone probably contacted their broker, who then found a buyer for their shares. What is interesting though, is the price the trade was executed at. If it's below mid price, it will automatically go in the 'sell' column and could panick other investors into selling. If it's above mid price, then the reverse could happen. Since this trade was quite large, you may see a 'holdings RNS' in due course. | doomsday_man

23/8/2007 16:01 | at least that 1.4 MM share trade is guaranteed to produce an RNS. If it is a buy, some one got nearly 3% of the company very cheap. Anyone in the know to explain the reason (and buyer/seller) of the X trade? | ![]() v01101999
23/8/2007 15:39 | Our buyer is probably waiting for sellers, so he can 'hide' his buying activity... Jeeez, I'm in a bit of a rampy old mood today! ;-) | ![]() musashi san

23/8/2007 15:23 | using stops on this share would be invitation for "whip saw". The way this share moves firm stop losses would always end up triggering making money for the firm and market makers. My strategy on this stock is to have my own "stop loss" and "target" and I act on those after watching the market so as to not get caught by the tree shakes and sharp swings. given the average value of my holding, my stop loss target it 52p. I would sell only when that level is sufficiently breached. | ![]() v01101999
23/8/2007 15:22 | Pity. Doesn't look like we will see a close above 130p today. Oh well, still looking good. Mustn't grumble! | ![]() references

23/8/2007 15:13 | I think there's something afoot... Large trades, very strong upward pressure on the price. We could still quite easily get back up again today, and finish on a high... | ![]() musashi san |
