The cruise lines didn't impose it. Several governments did and different times

Seems prudent given rising interest rates.

Carnival Corp (NYSE: LON:CCL) shares are trading lower in Wednesday's after-hours session after the company announced a $1 billion common stock offering.

Carnival (NYSE:CCL) said it will offer $1 billion of company shares and intends to grant underwriters a 30-day option to buy up to $150 million of additional shares. The cruise line company expects to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, which "could include addressing 2023 debt maturities."

Several cruise companies traded higher on Tuesday after the U.S. Center for Disease Control recently put an end to its COVID-19 program for cruise ships, which included mandatory testing and quarantine requirements.

Carnival is one of the world's largest leisure travel companies with a portfolio of nine cruise lines.

Ok, not familiar with an offering like this.. This is not your typical open offer.

Now l wonder why the share price was hammered down. To get the price down of the shares???

Not sure, it could be shares owned by the company I'm sure someone can answer that, interesting some of if will be used for 2023 maturing loans and not 2022

Not sure about that, we have two camps at the moment, it's a bit like one broker saying sell and another saying buy. One of them will run out of steam eventually

See fuel set to fall in the next 2 weeks, forward 2023 price down 35%. Cruises full and more operational ready. Australia ships back and now in full operation. Saudi's wanting to get fully into travel, tourism and sport, looking at these to buy. Can't see the 14% shorts hanging around for long lol. When it breaches £8 could get to £10 very quickly. Many analysis have share price target £14 for this year. We will see..... expect some tactical short selling to get price down, to buy back their larger short position.

Chart looks slowly rising £8 in reach and target of £10. Expect 14% odd shorters to start to reduce as this rises slowly and bank their large profits.
