Then are this lot going to announce a rights issue.
Are they all on holiday?
Shareholders, who own the company, have a right to know what these overpaid executives are doing to repair the damage.

Time they made an announcement or strategic review.

I don't want to tempt fate but I think k no news is good news. They are plugging away at operational improvements. Order book is huge at nearly 20 billion

Has everyone lost faith here, as no posts in the last 3 days... or are we all waiting on news on the company review and subsequent actions to mitigate against findings to bring back share holder value?

losses, you are missing the point

the par value of the share is different from the share price

I remember POG shares at 20+p and the shares issued at 5p..That's one example amongst 100's

grahamite you know it gets done all the time.
It used to be a favourite of Lloyds Bank -they did not like the share price getting too high so would split the shares.
No danger of that since 2009....

graham, I think you are getting hooked up on a technicality, as dean said it has been done many times before and is just a legal formality

Losses, the market value is irrelevant.

Messrs Hunt and Turner - yes, of course that can be done but it involves a technical reduction of capital, a substantial one if it is to go down from 50p to 10p. No doubt the shareholders would approve but would the Court?

Is the correct answer. The idea that they cannot change the par value is ridiculous.

all they have to do is change the par value by vote...been done loads of times before

Issuing shares at a discount is illegal???I've seen loads in the past like POG etc.. who issued shares way cheaper than current price.

deanroberthunt, how will they have a rights issue at 10p given that the par value is 50p and issuing shares at a discount is illegal?

I'd love to get an answer on this from someone such as yourself who knows what he's talking about.

I think basically on contracts over several years, it was very easy to book some of the profit during the early years and then discover at the end that actually the contract made a loss not a profit.
