10/9/2020 14:37 | Well, it's certainly got busier here since I last made a cup of coffee... | topnotch
10/9/2020 12:49 | Key thing is - there has been no meaningful dilution in years. So the historic price chart is a decent benchmark for where this could go. Yes - they have lost the wipac division, but after years of organic growth the medical plastics division is far larger and arguably represents a better mix of business than they have ever had before. I'm holding on for a much larger rise. | wigwammer
10/9/2020 12:26 | Batten down the hatches... -------------------- 1gw 21 Aug '20 - 13:40 - 1744 of 1813 Edit 0 0 0 Have we got ourselves a "Covid stock" then? And if so, can we hope for the day-trading circus to arrive? | 1gw
10/9/2020 12:24 | Just shifted the share price too | husbod
10/9/2020 12:24 | 115075 buy just now. Someone has faith. | husbod
10/9/2020 11:28 | Indeed wigwammer. "...future YEARS..." I think that can be called 'visibility'! | 2magpies
10/9/2020 09:29 | From the latest report. August 2020... "The forecast also takes into account the impact of significant new tooling orders secured after the balance sheet date in the medical diagnostic sector which are expected to have a material positive impact on earnings and cash generation over both the next twelve months and future years as the business moves into follow-on volume production." | wigwammer
10/9/2020 08:32 | Precision plastic picks and shovels. G. | garth
10/9/2020 08:21 | Carclo in the right place at the right time, and not messing things up through poor execution? Sounds implausible, but let's hope so. After a lot of averaging down over the years, and some hefty realised loss already, my remaining holding is showing as down only about 65% now... | 1gw
10/9/2020 08:11 | About time CAR rerated. Is possibly one of the main manufacturers behind "operation moon shot". And that will be true regardless of which testing technology wins. | wigwammer
10/9/2020 08:06 | Buying coming in at 15.8p now. | rivaldo
09/9/2020 18:24 | Covid update today emphasising need for manufacturing capacity when it comes to the testing "moon shot". Carclo look increasingly well placed - they have the experience and equipment necessary to manufacture precisely and at scale. They should be in a sweet spot - both in terms of volumes and pricing. | wigwammer
09/9/2020 15:54 | I hold both too rivaldo so hopefully that info is correct.Somewhat disappointed by the modest share price reaction to all the buys over the last couple of days. Any thoughts? | husbod
09/9/2020 11:01 | Apparently on the Avacta (AVCT) thread on LSE yesterday there was talk of CAR's specialist medical plastics being needed for manufacture of their lateral flow device. As a AVCT holder myself since early this year, given the amount of tests AVCT would be producing - assuming the tests come to fruition in the coming weeks and months - this would be big news indeed. No idea about the truth or otherwise of this, just passing on the info. | rivaldo
09/9/2020 08:29 | Up again today, with buying at 15.19p now - the true mid-price is up to 14.95p (ignore the thread header chart). | rivaldo
07/9/2020 10:12 | Went to make a cup of tea and came back to see the bid had ticked up 0.5p (better put the kettle on again) | topnotch
07/9/2020 09:35 | Yay - Golden Cross!!!! (What's it mean?) | topnotch

06/9/2020 20:59 | Does this company not have a humongous pension deficit which is going to eat up a big chunk of profits for many years? Is there a hope that the exceptionals in the latest results will not occur in future - were they due to Wipac or were they pension contributions? | cyberbub
04/9/2020 20:05 | It's puts it in context doesn't it - not far off 10x the current price.G. | garth
04/9/2020 19:03 | Garth - my understanding is they were only interested in technical plastics too, which has grown since they showed interest. Divesting wipac makes things even simpler for a purchaser. Consort has since been take out btw. | wigwammer
04/9/2020 16:58 | 3 year stability, room to breathe and grow, steadily. nice, steady, and solid company, imo. | 2magpies
04/9/2020 16:25 | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 2 Jul 2018 Response to announcement from Consort Medical plc Carclo plc ("Carclo" or the "Company") notes today's announcement by Consort Medical plc ("Consort") and confirms that it received a highly preliminary indicative non-binding all paper proposal for the Company from Consort on 29 May 2018 (the "Proposal"). 04/9/2020 14:43 | Nope. Up she goes :) | wigwammer |
