18/5/2006 11:35 | I would refer the honourable gentleman to post 2640 above. | tiredoldbroker
18/5/2006 10:48 | A huge drop for PVTM last night, down 37.5% to $5.00 and only 500 shares traded. | rocketron57
18/5/2006 10:46 | I'm not saying I'm more knowledgeable or experienced than everyone on here, but I think if you read a few dozen postings, it soon becomes clear that there are some inexperienced or naive posters about. Some of the worst examples I've ever seen were on the Langbar board, where it was quite clear that there were people way out of their depth, taking huge risks with money they couldn't afford to lose (or which wasn't even theirs). I also believe that there are some "shrewd and knowledgeable" people about who do their very best to profit from hoodwinking the naive, and maybe it doesn't hurt to have someone like me around to counter some of their posts. | tiredoldbroker
17/5/2006 10:54 | Tired one what makes you think that you are more knowledgable and more experienced than anyone else on this BB, I should think there are some very Shrewd and knowledgable investors on this site, but maybe they keep it to themselves. I am not saying you shouldn't share your findings thats up to the individual, but to think that everyone else is Naive and inexperienced is simply well, naive. All would think that nearly all investors on this board realise this is a high risk investment, could go 20 fold could go through the floor, you invest a little and hopefuly reep the rewards. | malc5
17/5/2006 10:27 | Why shouldn't I (not that I've ever claimed "extreme knowledge") ? It's not as if I'm here every day, blocking the board up, and as nobody else had looked at the "credentials" of PVTM's directors, why shouldn't I, and then post my findings ? Does posting factual information worry anyone ? Are you saying that only those who have bought, or intend to buy shares in a company should be allowed to publicly express their opinion ? I have been around the market for a long time, either as a stockbroker looking after private investors or simply as an investor for my own benefit. I have learned things as I went along, partly from listening to those with more experience than I had at the time. What I often see on these boards is naive or inexperienced investors who don't understand even the most basic facts and then, when things go wrong for them, they blame everybody but themselves. So I'm encouraging people to dig, to read, to think. What harm can that do ? | tiredoldbroker
17/5/2006 10:26 | Malc5 - FWIW, I rate tiredoldbroker as one of the best posters on this site and I am pleased to see him posting here again. If you don't agree with his views, you have a great opportunity to counter with your own investing case. I have to say that PVTM looks to be a total crock from the brief overview of financials given in the "research note" posted earlier. What are PVTM's investment holdings? Are they doubtful holdings in over priced non-trading shells, or realisable investments? All IMHO, DYOR etc. Rgds dell | dell314
17/5/2006 10:00 | I have to ask tired one, why do you waist your time researching and giving all of us your extreme knowledge in the Company, when you are obviously not, or nor do you intend ever investing in it! | malc5
17/5/2006 09:56 | Blimey, Mr doom and Gloom is Back! | malc5
17/5/2006 09:01 | Quite simple really. The Cly share price will not react until PVTM lists on Amex and the shares become liquid. As you rightly intimate, there is a risk that PVTM will not secure an Amex listing and this is why The City are not currently adding the value of this investment into the share price It is no different from say an oil company who is awaiting confirmation of well reserves - until proven the full value of the asset is not included in the price. The simple question here for investors is - do you think PVTM will list. If the answer is yes then expect a re-rating, if not then look elsewhere. You will also note from your research that there is a restriction on the trading of many of the PVTM shares at the moment because of the Amex listing process. | bbd2
16/5/2006 22:45 | tired one, you have cheared me up almost as much as you did last time you visited our high risk BB. Surely even you will agree that the PVTM listing (if it comes off)will have a positive effect on cly SP? | bbd2
16/5/2006 22:26 | Yes. At any event, accepts that this is a real possibility. | grahamite2
16/5/2006 22:01 | So what are you saying, that everyone who posts on here and holds Caplay shares understands there could be something extremely rotten going on, but hopes to make a profit and palm the shares off onto someone more naive before the solids hit the propellor ? | tiredoldbroker
16/5/2006 22:00 | Worth checking out CAPT tomorrow at 0.35 pence - could rise by possible 100% and even then would be undervalued. | smiler27
16/5/2006 19:49 | Extremely interesting, tiredoldbroker, but I don't imagine anyone invested here has any illusions. | grahamite2
16/5/2006 19:37 | ok, let's follow up on the directors of PVTM and see what's been going on with the other companies they are listed as directors of: Quantum Matrix Inc - a search on Google produces no references at all to any company called Quantum Matrix Inc. What's For Free Technologies Inc - some very old press releases and a reference at "people are still looking for information related to WFFT, even though it went belly-up back in the Fall of 2000". Windergy Inc leads to windergy.net but the website looks out of date and abandoned (it says "copyright 2001" and though it speaks of the company being in talks about 30 wind energy projects, none of them are actually described as being underway or featured on the website. Westondev Group produces no leads at all on Google. SOCAl could be anything or nothing, as it is also the generally accepted abbreviation for SOuthern CALifornia. I find it odd that no more accurate lead was provided to what this company might be. RAST Associates appeares to hold a patent on an expandable/contracta Celebrate Management Services produces nothing on Google and nor does Celebrate Capital Fund. Betting Markets Ltd is unknown on Google. Shareholder Intelligence Services LLC produces 6 leads on Google, and their website does name Mr Wenger, but as far as I can see, it only names two clients for SIS LLC, one of which is PVTM. The other is Infinium Labs, which you can see the dirty on at and even more at Emeritus Capital Partners LLC gets one mention on Google, only because another director was on the board of Chembio Diagnostics Inc, a company which was in trouble with America's Federal Trade Commission 5 or 6 years ago for making supposed HIV-diagnostic kits which didn't give a reliable result - see - but I'm sure they've cleaned up their act since then and they may now have a product they are able to legally sell, if they meet certain conditions. Though I understand that there are already other similarly rapid kits already on the market. But nothing independently about Emeritus Capital Partners. My reason for doing this digging is simply that I've always been sceptical about the Caplay set-up and in this day and age, when any press release or corporate action usually creates an instantly traceable Google reference, I find it odd that so many of these corporations seem to have left no evidence of their existence or actions anywhere on the internet. For comparison, I put the name and address of a convenience store near where I live into Google, and even that corner shop had 47 references. A corner shop with no press releases or anything notable. I then tried the name of a tiny engineering supplies firm my brother-in-law used to own: 933 references on Google. So I am deeply suspicious that over and over again, the other companies that PVTM directors run have no trace whatsoever, or just the very slightest mention of ever having done anything. My doubts and suspicions about the whole thing are only made deeper by all this, and if you start to look into share-swapping deals PVTM did with what may be another Terry Ramsden controlled "investment company" called Birchington, you cannot feel any happier - see and I am very sad to see the Ramsden name mentioned on the tragic story of a small investor led up the garden path so far that in his despair, he committed suicide, at | tiredoldbroker
16/5/2006 18:16 | Not sure I follow - are you saying it was a buy or a sell order ? | bbd2
16/5/2006 17:57 | when you submit a protected order the market maker guarantee's to take on 'x' amount at 'x' p and then work the rest. So what you saw with the 50k protected trade is the amount market maker guaranteed to take on... however looks like he couldnt fill the rest of the order. | phook inell
16/5/2006 17:50 | And why would the MM accept such instructions? | grahamite2
16/5/2006 16:25 | Why on earth would you protect (T) a £550 trade. Any ideas? | bbd2
12/5/2006 21:42 | So that's 23rd May | nodding
12/5/2006 10:35 | The application was lodged on 23 March. I am not entirely sure when the consultation period ends but I have seen 60 days mentioned a few times. | bbd2
12/5/2006 10:26 | Do we know when or if this company will be listed? notification date. | tolly1970
12/5/2006 09:26 | Have we all seen the research note out in PVTM ? Well here it is : | bbd2 |
