Nice !

Much better than I had expected :-)

RECORD revenue - well beyond what everyone envisaged.

The IMS is actually quite encouraging; despite the softening market they have managed to grow their revenues substantially and they've taken cost cutting action to shore up the margins. As usual with such actions there's a lag before they start to bite, so profit for the whole year will be impacted but not substantially imo.

David,
IMO fall looks overdone - the price has been absolutely cained against the backrop of weakening demand and an asumption that revenues are going to fall off a cliff. IMS says something much less dramatic.

Pug

All the gold and silver miners at least are drilling like hell at the moment to keep up with the POG. This price is a market anomaly (imo) which cannot last. Either something nasty will out, or more likely, the company will re-rate. I only bought in very recently, but I will be watching my stop loss closely.

PUG - have you seen MDM's results this week ?......similar line of business and they are booming!

Also CAPD operates predominantly in the Gold mining sector where co's are still investing heavily as i understand it.

Seen a report in the last few days (cannot remember where -may have been FT - that with the slow down of development contract the support coys in all areas of mining services are coming under very signifcant presdsur to cut prices to obtain contracts and keep their teams together.

If I can find excct details will post later - BUT imo will result in very much reduced margins for ALL coys operating in the E&P support and services areas.

well this is just moving on sentiment.... hopefully the trading update due in November turns things around.. on around 5X earning.... not significant gearing and well diversified...

I agree. The mark down on little volume is possibly almost certainly related to to Shaft sinkers.

This is a much better co imo.

PFC issued an all is well statement today and even implied potential future business is looking very healthy. No problems here IMO.

This is probably down due to issues at Shaft Sinkers which is focused on South Africa... However, Capital drilling have little or no South African client operations just their offices there... so these issues in South Africa should have little or no affect on the group...

Yes im hoping this will be a bottoming formation on the charts now. A contract win or two would work wonders.

The Gold miners are still investing heavily so they will want CAPD's services imo.

Well, that is two up days in a row. Breaking 50p next will be significant. It looks to me as if it would form the first "higher high" on the chart for a very long while.

With so many familiar names deciding this was too good an opportunity to miss, tying in with my own assessment, I felt I had to join you long. Thanks a lot, cfro, for drawing to my attention.

Dunno,

Volume seems NOT to be indicating that though. In fact volume wise we have dis-interest indicated IMO. Which is where I like it when I'm the one doing the bottom fishing.
