didnt one of the updates last year state 'technically' they made a profit in one Quarter ? if so , surely the debt must be reducing ? and with the £380 mill for Software sale coming, that is going to make a dent in it as well ?

I see there were over 500K of buys reported after close last night, so a good buying day, market sentiment killed off whole market, if/when the market finally turns , then this is in such a strong position it will recover very quickly IMO,

next update probably when the ESS transaction closes in "early 2021" if I recall. That will be an opportunity to say what the net debt is and what the business looks like going forward

You may be right or not but this company is not going bust and therefore risk/reward at this level is far higher leveraged towards reward. Yes it could drop another 5p but it will rise back over a pound sometime.

I agree Knowing, that's why it's still in my SIPP. I just strongly believe that it will follow the major indices lower. In my humble opinion we'll either:

A: Test the mid-point between today's price and the lows of last year. Or
B: We'll test beyond the lows of last year.

The impact of Covid is yet to be realised. We've only realised the fear of the potential impact so far.

I'll refrain from further judgement on that one then.

Think you are wrong about Capita though. Looks very oversold and very undervalued.
