Posted at 02/3/2025 18:58 by thecoyone It is VERY quiet here, exactly the conditions for a strong price rally on modest buying. Remember CNSL has £4.5m cash, revenues £10m, increasing margins & EBITDA profitable, current m/cap just £7m ?Spread Betting and how lucrative it is on very modest price movements, there is no doubt in my mind the share price of CNSL is being manipulated to accommodate bets to the downside. From the post (below) you can see how much money can be made from small moves in price, no doubt shorts here were opened again when the shares were trading around 4.2p a month ago. A £1000 a point bet would have generated a gross profit of £110,000 or £90,000 net currently. No wonder the bashers are working overtime on LSE day and night and deeply fear buyers of size. Those big buyers (mentioned below) will come soon enough !! RBonnier - 6 Feb '25 - 21:31 - 180 of 198 Just to show how lucrative spread betting is. Todays attack of 375000 KDR shares saw the mid price crash from 1.1P to 0.95P = 15 points at £1k a point that's £15K minus the loss on the shares £1875 leaving a tax free profit of £13125 for 20 seconds work ! They will do the same tomorrow until it's got low enough for the big buys to arrive to leave the spread bettor in a losing position. |
Posted at 14/2/2025 09:46 by thecoyone WbodgerI have only just viewed your post, I am convinced a bid will come for CNSL, if you were a prospective buyer (probably an industry player) you would want to build a decent holding, this could be done via Nominee accounts. It would take time to build a stake of, say, 10%/15% without alerting the market, 15% would equate to circa 35m shares for example, to acquire a position of this size could take 12/18 months, they could also approach larger holders to build their book. The bashers over on LSE are working 24/7, any positive post is instantly attacked and regularly spammed over, this is not normal for such a small company, someone is behind it. As for the eventual take out price, well hard to say, the broker has a conservative target price of 10p a share, it would value CNSL at £24m however such is the manipulation by 'the market' the price has been contained in a range of 3p to 4.75p for a very long time. In the recent podcast management described their products as world leading, it is clear any offer would need to be priced closer to the 10p/15p a share range to warrant serious attention. |
Posted at 14/2/2025 08:32 by mrmcnee This is now very much back in the buy zone, I have noticed what appears to be price manipulation going on here, when buying demand comes in they are quick to shut off online and widen the spread hoping to quell demand. The sector has seen a number of takeovers recently, a number of peer groups have seen their share prices near double in short time The company is doing all the right things, tight cost controls, higher margins, carefully managed expansion and improving financials, the near £5m cash position is excellent. The current EV for the whole business is just £3m which is ludicrous, it is a nigh certainty this is a candidate for takeover. One morning I suspect you will see a RNS stating 'Offer for CNSL' |
Posted at 26/1/2025 20:49 by thecoyone Those who sold on the rather irrelevant RNS will be kicking themselves, CNSL have only been summoned to attend court proceedings, in actual fact it is Novacyt (NCYT) who have actually been charged. The matter is broadly irrelevant to CNSL, at the very worst a very modest fine might occur, although extremely unlikely. The share price hit 4.2p bid on the 17th, you can now buy in at 3.7p, I have a feeling a few sold out on the dynamic move from 2.8p to 4.3p mid price however the indicators remain exceptionally bullish. Broker target remains at 10p. |
Posted at 16/1/2025 12:15 by thecoyone Cavendish have commented today on the settlement, suggesting the conclusion leaves the way open for share price appreciation.....'We believe the uncertainty surrounding the DHSC case had created a significant unfortunate overhang on the share price and, with its successful positive resolution, provides the constructive clarity investors had been anticipating. With the balance sheet now unburdened, we believe CNS is well-positioned to capitalise on its strong cash reserves and forecasted FY25 growth in adj. EBITDA profitability. With the stock currently trading on an FY1 EV/Sales of just 0.2x, we believe this represents compelling value, considering the level of growth potential that could be unlocked from the fast-growing and lucrative food-sensitivity testing market, which appears to be notably gaining increased mainstream market acceptance' |
Posted at 15/1/2025 08:29 by kingston78 A problem with this share is that as soon as there is light selling MM drops the share price substantially and with a wide spread. I expect to hear a good trading update. Hopefully, the share price rises with a narrow spread. |
Posted at 07/1/2025 10:47 by kingston78 Rarely do we see so much cash and no debt in an AIM company. Strip out the cash and you will have a growth business valued at little. That's why sometimes it is wise for the directors to distribute surplus cash as a special dividend, actually enhancing the share price and benefiting all shareholders.I bet that if even 1 p worth per share is distributed as a special dividend, the share price will not drop at all. |
Posted at 06/1/2025 12:56 by kingston78 In the weekly candle chart I can see three "white marching soldiers". This is a very bullish sign. The relative strength indicator is ticking up. Moreover, the MACD (a reliable indicator) has crossed from negative to positive. All these technical indicators and the fundamentals will surely propel the share price higher. My immediate first target is 3.6 p.The company should distribute the surplus cash as special dividend to shareholders, and see the share price also moving up higher. |
Posted at 05/1/2025 22:24 by one2go This is worth a read....Gentlemen The Gracious Fellow has perused the recent results and wishes to comment. Cambridge is performing excellently from an operational perspective, the slight fall in revenue for the HY has been explained, it is due to operational improvement leading to buyers destocking due to Cambridge being able to supply on time with confidence, this is a one off situation. Moving ahead the company anticipates a strong second half. The Gracious Fellow notes the ongoing apparent share price manipulation by a plethora of tiny sell trades across each trading day, aim being to depress the share price and quell sentiment, in the meantime large buys appear after hours, make of it what you will. The current EV of CNSL sits at a pathetic £2m which makes the company a very juicy candidate for takeover. According to Cavendish CNSL will end the year with a £5m cash balance, currently Cambridge is valued at £6.75m. Readers may wish to take advantage of the weak share price, one cannot rule out a bid pitched way beyond current levels. |
