Posted at 17/6/2025 09:51 by kingston78 If something doesn't work we should change tack. What is the point of having a listing on the LSE when the share price is languishing whilst the business is actually doing well?On a different note, as I have said before, the company does not need so much cash in its bank account. It should return part of it to shareholders as a special dividend. Trust me, that will actually drive the share price higher. |
Posted at 05/6/2025 16:10 by wbodger coyone, I don't even think it's the spivs. It's too easy to manipulate SPs in the stock market now, and no-one can afford to bet against the shorters. I would have loved to buy shares at a fair offer, but there is no point paying a 20% premium on a mid-market price knowing I will have to hold the shares at a loss for a very long time, be subject to market risk, and then be taken out at a silly price negotiated with the very people who have kept the price artificially low. At best I would be lucky to barely break even. It's not so much spivs as computerised trading with bots. The bots are set by anyone with a computer. That could be respectable people just as easily as crooks. I can't even blame them if it works. Boards like LSE populated by multiple-identity posters don't help but the problem is that the share price does not reflect company trading. Once upon a time it broadly would have had to, and short sellers would have taken a big risk. I believe this will be taken private in a privately negotiated deal. Meanwhile my (small) investment is tied up, and my attempt to invest more is blocked. And the company cannot raise capital from new investors now, because the share price is depressed. Ideas to get the share price to recognise good trading sadly will not work while it is so illiquid. Perhaps the sooner it goes Private the better. |
Posted at 29/5/2025 07:55 by silverspoon2009 To me this was the key share price driver....'The new financial year has started positively as the growing revenue pipeline starts to flow through' The share price will continue to rise, who would sell now with all the legacy issues gone, £5m in the bank (v £7.5m m/cap) and sales now the focus. |
Posted at 28/5/2025 15:50 by thecoyone No surprise Cavendish have re-iterated their 10p target price, they have been pretty good at forecasting CNSL's numbers.I think the shares are very much below radar, had this company been promoting itself properly the share price would be far higher. This low rating cannot last, it would only take a small fund or a gaggle of HNW investors to acquire some stock and the share price would accelerate significantly. It is also worth noting the AIM Index is recovering from a 4 year downtrend which is exceptionally helpful for the small caps. Buy the lows seems to be the case here IMO. |
Posted at 27/5/2025 11:36 by thecoyone Just taken a look at the last Cavendish commentary of CNSL, they are very accurate, they must be preparing a new comment this morning. They re-iterated their 10p a share target price and believe the company to be materially undervalued. The settlement with the DHSS was their green light to restore to 10p target price, they deemed this matter as a distraction and a drag on the share price. Now a settlement has been made (at no cost to CNSL) they suggested the company can move ahead with its focus entirely on growth moving forward. This could all so easily be trading at 6p or 7p+ given the recent numbers. |
Posted at 23/5/2025 15:40 by kingston78 All the numbers and narratives in the proposed update would have been written probably with two versions, pending the outcome of the court case decision.Trading and cash balance should both be good. The bank balance will represent a significant portion of the current market cap. I would suggest that if it is surplus to requirement the company should return part of it to shareholders as a special dividend. Other companies have done it, and it actually helps the share price (after adjustment for the special dividend) to increase it to a better P/E ratio. The share price has previously gone above 4.5 p on an intraday basis. I expect it to rise to 4.5 p soon after the trading update (probably next week). This share is lightly traded with a wide spread, however, if trading volume increases market makers will tighten the spread to encourage more buying and selling. |
Posted at 10/4/2025 09:37 by yasxii GentlemenIf one recalls the last online event the now CEO suggested, when asked about the lousy share price, he would let the numbers do the talking, at the time the company was well into the 2nd half trading period, that is relevant. The company has telegraphed they expect a strong 2nd half so confidence should be high however the share price remains in the gutter. There is no doubt that equity has been shorted, the Gracious Fellow can see the signs a mile off, it is fast approaching these entities will close their positions. There has never been a better time to buy CNSL equity, the share price rallies hard and fast historically, the stock is materially oversold and under valued. |
Posted at 18/3/2025 18:17 by thecoyone The court case has concluded with Novacyt pleading guilty to charges in the Magistrates Court, clearly there will be no repercussions for CNSL which is good news. The current share price is an anomaly, around this time last year the share price rose from 2.7p to 4.1p based on the trading statement relayed in April. Remember the BOD has implied that the 2nd half trading (ends this month) will be strong. Expect to see some share price recovery over the next week or two. |
Posted at 05/1/2025 22:24 by one2go This is worth a read....Gentlemen The Gracious Fellow has perused the recent results and wishes to comment. Cambridge is performing excellently from an operational perspective, the slight fall in revenue for the HY has been explained, it is due to operational improvement leading to buyers destocking due to Cambridge being able to supply on time with confidence, this is a one off situation. Moving ahead the company anticipates a strong second half. The Gracious Fellow notes the ongoing apparent share price manipulation by a plethora of tiny sell trades across each trading day, aim being to depress the share price and quell sentiment, in the meantime large buys appear after hours, make of it what you will. The current EV of CNSL sits at a pathetic £2m which makes the company a very juicy candidate for takeover. According to Cavendish CNSL will end the year with a £5m cash balance, currently Cambridge is valued at £6.75m. Readers may wish to take advantage of the weak share price, one cannot rule out a bid pitched way beyond current levels. |
