29/1/2008 18:49 | cal forum today: Hayden has confirmed in e-mails with shareholders that he expects multiple press releases in the next two months. Your guess is as good as anyone's on the contents of those releases. There's the sale of the two gold mines in SA ($900+ doesn't hurt there), the agreements and approvals on Nama cobalt are others. | andrbea
29/1/2008 17:47 | From cal forum (tsx) tonight: another post: Caledonia's cobalt property is called the Nama Cobalt Project. The NI-43-101 technical report concluded that the combined Indicated Resource for Anomalies A and C at Nama is estimated as 121,874,000 tonnes with a weighted average grade of 0.047% Co and 0.043% Cu. The Nickle portion is approximately 0.015%. This is only one of Caledonia's many properties. This property alone has an estimated resource of 114,561,560 lbs of cobalt, 104,811,640 lbs of copper and 36,562,200 lbs of nickel. At today's prices of $46.25/lb for cobalt, $3.27/lb for copper and $13.26/lb for nickel, this is a total value of $6,126,020,985 U.S. dollars. | andrbea

29/1/2008 16:38 | some reaction on tsx forum 2204.6 lbs. in a metric tonne 2204.6 X 22,000 X $44 = 97002.4 X 22000 = $ 2,134,052,800 This equals $4.37 in metal value per CAL share. This is very basic indeed. This is assuming a price of $44 per pound of cobalt as well. FYI! | andrbea

29/1/2008 16:15 | Hello out there, nice rise.!!! | topinfo
14/4/2007 10:16 | It's a very quiet here. Noticed a few buys recently. Bought in a few weeks ago. The price should be closer to 7p than 6p. The historical charts suggest this could appreciate substantially in a bull market. | dogberry202000
11/10/2006 10:49 | Caledonia Mining Places A Significant Bet On Zimbabwe By Jack Hammer Not everyone's taking a hit from the falling gold price. According to Stefan Hayden, chief executive of Caledonia Mining, the decline in the gold price has been offset by a weakening in the rand, so Caledonia's South African operations "are still doing very well in terms of the rand gold price". The current situation is actually slightly better than the company had anticipated, according to Mr Hayden, who continues, "We expected that gold might come back, but we didn't expect the rand to weaken off". That's left the company with what he calls "a workable gold price". Nice enough if you can get it, although to be fair, production from the company's Barbrook project in South Africa is hardly sky high at just 1,749 ounces for the last quarter, and there've been other problems of a metallurgical nature there to contend with. Still, the company has just closed off its' third quarter accounts, which should be out some time in the first half of November, and Mr Hayden is sounding pretty confident. By the fourth quarter, he says, meaning now, Barbrook should be profitable. more ... | wassapper
13/2/2006 21:56 | Placing today, price has slipped a tad. Caledonia Completes Private Placement Toronto, Ontario - February 10, 2006: Caledonia Mining Corporation ("Caledonia") (TSX: CAL, NASDAQ-OTCBB: CALVF, AIM: CMCL) is pleased to announce the completion of a $3,495,201 private placement financing. The placement, which was handled by fiscal agents in Europe, was for 33,287,626 units priced at $0.105 each. Each unit consists of one common share and one share purchase warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to purchase one common share of Caledonia at a price of $0.20 for a period of 24 months from the date of issue. The funds raised will be used to fund some of the recently completed capital improvements in the Underground and the Metallurgical Plant expansion at the Barbrook Mine in South Africa, and the exploration activities at the Eersteling gold property and the Rooipoort PGE Project in South Africa, and at the Nama Cobalt property in Zambia, and for general corporate purposes. Stefan Hayden, President and CEO of Caledonia said: "The commissioning of the Barbrook gold mine expansion project in South Africa is virtually complete. There is ongoing optimization of the expanded metallurgical circuits but I am pleased to report that generally the plant is performing as expected. Mining is progressing well and the development of the newly found ore zones continue to show they are economically mineable." Caledonia continues to be debt free.
