If this 'initial approach' - whatever that means - that did not even get a RNS, why is there so much stock available this morning

More like a decline, young man. The fizz of the 'initial approach' - whatever that was - seems to have gone away.If the initial approach had been serious should there not have been a RNS in June ??????

Imo watch the sellers charge in. This was not a formal bid; just an 'initial appeiach' whatever that means.

180p paid.
Those who were shorting and/or slagging off the company have missed out on a 50-60% gain. Oh dear.
Sweetened offer incoming?

You are so easy to read.No grudge, was contemplating buying here some time back but then the proverbial hit the fan, and whilst the business model was sound, IMO it's not now and the BOD are not to be trusted, again all IMO.Completely objective, as I said it had potential but the way it's managed now is not sustainable. The only profitable and growing income stream for the group is how they continue to increase how much they charge new franchisees - yet when the CEO was asked about increased charges he said they haven't gone up, well check out their website and financial data and you'll see that's completely untrue.Talking of being objective, all I hear from you is ramp ramp ramp. Yep the business is all perfect, not.

You clearly hold a grudge against the company and certain individuals. Immature and certainly not objective.

Agree, well done to those that have made a profit......excluding the CFO they sacked for fudging the numbers but who sold up before it became public......same goes to the CEO who I wouldn't trust a bit and who awaits criminal proceedings. Yep DYOR.Why do folks assume anybody posting a non ramping post is short?, shows a distinct lack of maturity IMO.

I'd pencilled in on fundamentals 130p, so 160p seems reasonable to me.

Offer confirmed in RNS.
160p far too low. Should put a floor on the share price and flush out rival bids.

225+ shops, offering looks very similar to cbox.... hxxps://www.cheesecake.com.au/

Agree that £1.60 is too low an offer to be considered, however, as the market gets a whiff of a predator to what extent, if any, will the 'bid premium' be worth? Currently we're around 15x eps so will this now be extended to 20x earnings / £2.00-2.20?

Rival bids at FAR HIGHER prices very likely; should flush out other interested parties. £60M market cap is nothing

160p takeover will be a disaster. Founder would like to take more.

I still believe that a better outcome for shareholders will be installing professional management team and founder to step aside. Perhaps an activist investor can help do that job.
