1gw I found DT's wording for the quote on Mirius' site quite strange.An attractive target for a consumer launch...is that the language of a licensed product or more of a joint venture.

David Traynor, Byotrol plc’s Chief Executive, comments: “Mirius’ combination of expertise in antiviral manufacturing and sales reach made them an attractive target for a consumer launch. We are looking forward to developing our partnership further into other product areas and formats.”

Just for info if it was aimed at me, I have no idea who stt is and to be honest don't really care, and I don't blame you for mistrusting anyone, this is the internet after all

These are my own genuine thoughts, and I do believe there is something here otherwise I would not waste my time, or yours but I do need to see the numbers before I part with my hard earned cash as there are other opportunities I am considering topping up with, but would like a little more diversification.

Whether it was, or not directed at me, I wish you well, are you invested here, again just curious, so any bull or bear points you have to help me make my decision, they would be most welcome, helps form a total picture

I am just waiting on the results on the 19th August, not long to wait, I have researched all I am going to for now, the results and plans will make my final decision, I am erring on the side of not starting a position as the competition is fierce with products maybe not quite as good but certainly comparable in my view, and the other slight concern is the price point.

But we shall see what we shall see on the 19th as for me it really does need to be transformational with strong plans and really strong numbers, particularly as we are still coming out of a pandemic which plays right into their business model.

They really should have made a fortune, so will be looking for a major and significant uplift in revenues and margins in comparison to the prior year.

Good luck all, I hope it goes to the moon and I can join the party, better late than never, but the numbers will do the talking!

Following on from the above, I see that the "All Clear" product, which was sold by Assured Products Ltd, has now become unavailable on Amazon.



I wonder if this reflects an attempt by byotrol to take back control of the brand ("All Clear" appeared to be a homeandcleaning/Assured Products trade mark) or if they have just decided to part company?

In any event, the disappearance of the 4-in-1 product from both Amazon and homeandcleaning drastically reduces the options for retail purchase, doesn't it?

So I wonder if this is a prelude to launching it in some other way? Would byotrol be allowed to use the "Actizone" label to perhaps piggy-back on anything that Solvay or its customers do with Actizone marketing?

All comes back to that teaser in the Interims: "we...have now started investing in marketing, advertising and promotion, PR and product proposition development research. We will report more on those initiatives at the year end."

This is one thing I hope they will be able to expand on in the results release, or accompanying presentations.

Has the Invirtu site had an upgrade, or have I just not looked closely for a while? There is now an option to buy direct. They also highlight Boots, Amazon and Viking Direct for retail purchasers.



Separately I had a look at the homeandcleaning.co.uk site which also seems to have changed. I can't find any trace of byotrol all-clear (4-in-1) on it nor of Invirtu, although Amazon still has a listing for Invirtu sold by Assured Products Ltd (a connected company I think). Homeandcleaning does stock various Hycolin products, but not yet the new byotrol one.

Morning Ghost,For me its all about the tone of the update.Up until now DT has been very bullish on future revenues short and long term and that needs to be maintained for us to break out of this trading range.They have a few decent quarters of US/TW royalty figures and that coupled with visibility on over four and a half months of trading this year should I hope give him that confidence.
We know there are a few new licenses but would love (as I know we all would) to have that big opportunity for once divulged at the results.Also any progress on our existing licenses expanding their footprints as with SC last year.
I remember DT saying at one of the Investors interviews that if the seaweed research
came back positive then they would look to split it from the main business so any news on the research and how they intend to monetise it through partners,licenses or own product would be really positive.
I am really not expecting a dividend this year but of course it would be more than welcomed and also a mention of a possibility for 2021/2022 again would really help the share price.
Investors interviews are paramount especially when you get these news blackouts for months on end so I really would like them to have at least one of these and preferably an Investors Meet so we can all ask questions.
My wish list but as always ready for the unexpected as with any company listed on AIM

One thing I've noticed from tracking some of the Wiz24 products in Indonesia is that the aerosol sprays ("surface and air") appear to be selling far better than the traditional trigger sprays ("surface"). Do people spray the room to "clean" the air and if so is there any evidence that that takes out aerosol covid particles?

I wonder if byotrol might look to introduce an aerosol version of its 4-in-1 product, although I imagine there might need to be some additional testing/regulatory review for such a product in the UK market.

Possibly, loaf, but in the LSE interview (23rd April) I think DT referred to 18 months and said:

"Early next year I should have a pretty clear picture of what we've got"

So I'm not expecting a big update this time.

In the interims they referred to the grant actually being secured in September:

"We were very pleased to have been awarded a £350,000 UK Innovate grant in September 2020 to investigate the mode of action of the extracts in achieving the excellent anti-viral performance we have discovered in our own lab testing to date."

Our seaweed RNS was early June 2020 and I think the research runs for 16 months?

Bit more news on the Marinomed (Seaweed) product on sale at Boots...not our product but a good indicator in possibilities



"The percentage of participants that developed Covid-19 was significantly lower in the group that received the iota-carrageenan spray compared to placebo – 1% and 5.1%, respectively".


Plus this bit of info on seaweed antiviral



"Although the Government favours oral treatments, medications given by nasal spray may be as effective – iota-carrageenan, a sugar molecule derived from seaweed, is in early trials after encouraging results too".

Incidentally, the product claims restriction is on hand rubs. They can and do make germ specific claims for surface sanitisers. Byotrol 4-in-1 (actizone) does have a specific claim against norovirus:

"​Byotrol 4in1 has been tested to effective under the following microbiological test conditions: -

o EN 1276 (bactericidal),
o EN 13697 (bactericidal, yeasticidal, fungicidal),
o EN 1656 (bactericidal),
o EN 14349 (bactericidal) and PAS 2424 (bactericidal, yeasticidal, virucidal).
o Effective against Influenza A (H1N1), Norovirus, Coronavirus and Rotavirus following EN 14476.
o Quick kill tested to EN 13697 (bactericidal) using 30 second contact time.
