08/9/2021 21:09 | 1gw "It's a real shame when investors feel forced out because of the company's inability to communicate effectively with them" The company's communication has been clear since the Pandamic started. It's shameful that you and your mates twist it... It's good you were loading up at 9p(Midas Tip) and are still holding, aren't you??? sikhthetech7 Jan '21 - 14:43 - 7337 of 8685 Edit 1gw, Have you forgotten that just 3 days ago it was you who posted that there were no products available for some days and it was you who accepted that there were days when 100+ bottles were sold (even if it wasn't many days) Still they reported global consumer revenues for H1-2021 were only £1m, even with the spike. Total global revenues for H1-2021 were only £6m during the spike. Have you forgotten that last year they had the trial at Target, which ended despite the pandemic. Have you forgotten that they also lost the Tesco contract only 18months ago. Very selective memory you have. ;-) They were publishing monthly updates with £1m/month record sales. We're now in Q4-2021. Can you point where they still report monthly updates with 'record sales and £1m/month run rate'? | sikhthetech
08/9/2021 21:08 | It's a punt. As I say, no longer a significant part of my portfolio. Just a huge disappointment | brownson
08/9/2021 21:03 | brownson, "if you could just arrange a pandemic of a new viral illness , that would be great, but that’s never going to happen” Well actually, it did happen. Byotrol response ? the strategy is the same, pre Covid, during covid and post covid. That has to be among the most stupid things I’ve ever heard." Exactly, they were presented with the perfect opportunity and what did they do...same as before.. | sikhthetech
08/9/2021 20:36 | riddlerone - sorry to see you sell down - but perhaps that explains some of the recent weakness. It's a real shame when investors feel forced out because of the company's inability to communicate effectively with them, rather than because of business performance and prospects. | 1gw
08/9/2021 20:28 | Keeping ownership of shares in a company you don't think will are you any money is the insane thing | the ghost who walks
08/9/2021 20:14 | I have owned a large number for a long time. I used to think that the IP was such that they would have to succeed despite historically poor management. I was wrong. They are now an insignificant part of my portfolio so I keep them in the forlorn hope that someone will buy the company. If you granted the CEO of a company making antiviral hand cleaners etc a single wish, however preposterous, he would grin and say " if you could just arrange a pandemic of a new viral illness , that would be great, but that's never going to happen"Well actually, it did happen. Byotrol response ? the strategy is the same, pre Covid, during covid and post covid. That has to be among the most stupid things I've ever heard. Traynor may bear a passing resemblence to Harry Potter but he is no wizard when it comes to making a success of running a company | brownson
08/9/2021 19:56 | What a world apart this Interview on 24th April was from todays Investors meet for me thats the issue. I also spoke to DT in May where he was the same as the interview so feel pretty let down.I have sold most of my stock over the last few weeks as really don't like being kept like a mushroom.Wish you all well with this as I am sure it will come good in the end..its been a pleasure. | riddlerone
08/9/2021 19:52 | Well, it's the usual jam tomorrow from here... It's only a couple of weeks until H1 ends, end Sept. They should have a good idea as to cash, revenues. Last year, the pandamic presented them with a perfect, once in a lifetime, golden opportunity. They should have sold out with products flying off the shelves. What happened to sales will fly once lockdown eases??? To rely on newspaper tips to help with the ramping is laughable... The fact is the clues to how the company were doing were all there, so the current situation is as expected. They maybe worth a punt if the mcap is more reasonable but not an investment given the current newsflow. Read the company/sector newsflow... | sikhthetech
08/9/2021 19:48 | Wisecat can't sell have to many | football
08/9/2021 19:43 | Rownson, do you own shares ?I've been long since 2.6p, sold a few at 9p, bought back a lot more at 5p. I must be insane!I thought it was a really good call, made me even more confident in the value here, I'll be buying more at a certain point, | the ghost who walks
08/9/2021 19:41 | Non-issue. Most people get paid a portion in shares in most companies and sell - its part of remuneration when your salary is not that high.DT has ample shares for the share price to make a difference. | the ghost who walks
08/9/2021 19:38 | Football you should sell your shares if you have any. you seem highly stressed and are very negative. Maybe start your own company you seem to know how to run a big business | wisecat2
08/9/2021 18:07 | I did ask him to propose a sale to his good friend at Tristel, maybe he thinks PE will pay more? | loafofbread
08/9/2021 17:53 | Unfortunately, it just proved that there really isn't any reason to buy Byotrol shares for the time being. Even if they signed a new deal, the minimum guarantees are peanuts and their guidance is for no change in the near future. Why would any sane person buy the shares at the moment. Better to wait until next year when just maybe things will be a bit better. The share price tends to bear that out.DT and the boys will be OK though. Lots of lovely freebie options to supplement the salary | brownson
08/9/2021 14:49 | I thought it was a good call:First on the guidance for the year, I think he was very clear that the product sales are based on a slow 1h, average 3q and good 4q. That gave me comfort as it is based on the system working through the excess inventory. Also on ip it's clear they are active, they simply can't commit to when this will come through, but will likely be 2h or slip into the following year. That's fine.Second, the business is and will produce a lot of cash. It also has a strong balance sheet and cash available. This means that acquisitions are possible and, as the industry shakes out, this will result in opportunities. Hopefully we can do a good deal here.Third, the ip revenues are exciting. They won't be this year, I. Size, but they will be next. They could be very big indeed. Finally, if the share price doesn't recover, this will be acquired by private equity. Too much cash flow, barriers to entry etc. | the ghost who walks
08/9/2021 13:07 | football - the other question of course is that if byot is now cash-flow positive, why don't the management team borrow the money, buy it themselves, and take it private? :¬) | supernumerary
08/9/2021 12:19 | And I also liked his answer to the question I slipped in at the end on whether he saw the potential for byotrol to develop (or sell) an aerosol version of Actizone - "yes". | 1gw
08/9/2021 12:14 | No, football, that's not how I heard it (putting byotrol up for sale). He was saying that if you put your private equity hat on and look at how much money you could borrow to buy £1m/year of adjusted EBITDA in the byotrol space, you could probably borrow enough to cover the enterprise value - i.e. you could 100% debt-finance acquisition at the current enterprise value. Just a sense-check on the current share price I think - he clearly believes it undervalues the company. Other interesting points on an immediate reaction basis were: o Solvay has one other global customer for actizone, but selling without Solvay or Actizone branding; o Hycolin 24 is byotrol's own version of Actizone - i.e. they appear to see this as their key route to monetising their "ongoing right to sell Actizone technologies in finished product form" - so use the better-recognised hycolin brand rather than try to push the byotrol 4-in-1 brand? o A more positive update on seaweed ("Project Neptune") than I was expecting - now working through supply chain and starting to work on sales and marketing, although DT cautioned it was still likely to be a bit of a slow burn. On the whole I thought a good attempt to provide transparency and visibility where he could, but clearly he does not have an awful lot of visibility himself on this year's royalty/commission revenue or on 2H product sales. I particularly liked slide 7 giving some transparency on royalty, and slides 11 & 12 relating technologies to the different licence agreements. | 1gw
08/9/2021 11:34 | Did DT just put us up for sale ? | football
08/9/2021 08:35 | One to ask today. | the ghost who walks
08/9/2021 08:15 | If the AGM is going to be this month and they have to give 21 days' notice (presuming the Articles are still current here), we must be due the Notice of AGM very soon. | 1gw
07/9/2021 17:56 | The company is just to small and overstretched to take advantage of it's IP. Simple as that. Deal drought Day 244. | loafofbread
07/9/2021 16:04 | Continued share price weakness it is then | brownson |
