20/7/2015 15:01 | Read the contract detail as per mawc's post above. It may not have the vote of the shareholders, but as it stands, it looks as though they are not at liberty to venture elsewhere without a £5.7m deal breaker. | hubshank
20/7/2015 14:53 | a done deal? with no ok from the serfs? I think not. hostile bid coming. | stephen1946
20/7/2015 14:47 | Communication not ever been their strong point! Have you all redone the survey? I had to delete the first one, as it didn't allow for people to say no! All a bit academic now then if a done deal. | hubshank
20/7/2015 14:32 | You'd think a decision to sell the company would be worth an RNS. | whiskeyinthejar
20/7/2015 14:12 | wow, thank you mawc - just a little gentle bed time reading: I bet you slept well after that lot. A done deal... | hubshank
20/7/2015 14:00 | For clarification mawc, you are looking at the offer document from 888. How did you come by that? | hubshank
20/7/2015 13:56 | Having taken a closer look at the full offer document I notice there is a break fee of £5.7m payable by which ever party breaks the agreement to the other. That is quite a major hurdle to anyone expecting another bid from GVC. | mawc
20/7/2015 13:53 | When are we next due any rulings from the USA? Perhaps little more than a stalling tactic on the part of BPTY. Nothing would surprise me with them any more - but they do say, "no news is good news" and "patience is a virtue" | hubshank
20/7/2015 13:47 | Hubs ...GVC's share price decline suggests its not all over. | badtime
20/7/2015 13:43 | over 3m shares traded in Ladbrookes today - seems a lot, not sure if that is normal or not! | hubshank
20/7/2015 11:42 | I feel their silence suggests it is not a closed deal as surely we would have heard something by now. Interestingly, Pokerstars 7 day average is down by 500 for the first time in a few weeks, BPTY is back up by 50 (presumably the weekend) and 888 up by 200. I haven't paid any attention to the others! | hubshank
20/7/2015 11:24 | The only comment at this stage is, just how unstable is BPTY now? Turkeyburger has upset quite a few people by his duplicitous actions and as I said months ago, very few of todays directors are able to handle takeovers, so it is proving to be the case here. That is not to exonerate the clowns at 888 or GVC because they both seem to think that a bid below the bar is shrewd, it isn't, its opportunistic and can easily leave you with nothing. We are short of a business approach here, probably brought on by the fact that the BPTY bod are utterly useless. I pray for a third bidder to enter, one with a business brain that can get rid of 888 and GVC and bring a sense of realism to the whole affair. | stephen1946
20/7/2015 10:49 | If the value of the 888 shares fall below £1.60 before the deal goes through (if) then there will be outrage in the ranks. What would the position of BPTY shareholder be then? particularly as not many are happy with the price as it is. I think Norbert just wants out quickly before he is flogged, stoned and subjected to public execution. | hubshank
20/7/2015 10:41 | Somebody is on a nice littler earner with that CFD that has just been reported! | hubshank
20/7/2015 10:33 | stephen is there any chance you could remove your post 6125, and then repost at the end of the survey ie after 6126. It will keep the flow going and make it easier for participants. I am not asking to remove complete, just alter its position on the board. Many thanks. | hubshank
