Very heavily biased to medium sized oil and gas stocks at present, probably because I can't find much value elsewhere.
In approximate size order: DGO, JKX, SBE, VPC, CNE, EXSZ, ECP, DWM, BIZ, AVG, JCR, RPT, PRE, FDI, ONT, COE, BGY, MTG, PCF, SLM.
Still interested in BSG, but at a lower price.

Perhaps, but the bid seemed pretty soft on Friday. The offer at 11p was 250k. The bid at lunchtime was for 25k at 10.5p. The same MM was on both bid and offer, with no others on the bid. I was only able to get 10.25 for 100k, which dropped the bid to 10.25p. For a further 85k there were no takers at 10.25p until mid afternoon, which I guess must have been the 250k at 10.5p.

Yes maybe. I sold a good chunck today but there appears to be someone mopping up stock. Dont be surprised if these head north now.

Sorry HP, I'd only read the results when I posted earlier, I hadn't noticed the second cancellation share premium account notice, which indeed seems to suggest they would like the ability to pay a dividend. I guess the largest holder would like some payouts.

Think perhaps you are missing the point above. This business is rapidly changing focus from a low margin hardware supplier to a high margin solutions provider. The results hint at better times to come and the business remains cash rich and poised to benefit from any improvement in the market.Have noticed the market makers seem happy to take the stock at the moment and this bodes well.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into it. I couldn't see any urge to pay a dividend, so what other reason is there likely to be for reducing capital? I modified my previous comment from 'suggestion' to 'hint'!

Are you sure about a cash return? I only saw a mention of reduction in capital.

Yes, but the hint of the cash return is positive. They look much more interesting if £4m is returned. Say a market cap of £5m, revenues of £22m, NAV of £2.5m, and close to profitability if their services and solutions business continues to grow. A tennant

As ever what will be interesting is how they see the future.

Only that I hope, and think, they will show a modest profit before interest on cash is taken into account. However if they show another modest loss the price will probably drop although shouldn't be by much given the cash pile.

Looking back over the last 3 years BSG have been very consistent with the date for release of interims. Its always been the last trading day in November. Thats the 28th for this year.
