We all suffer when that happens but it can be a blessing in disguise as well: for example, I finally got my feet wet in one good company I have been following for a while this week - RORHopefully I will manage to pick up a few more if the turmoil continues. Nice one phil - if were you I would focus on my suntan and a few cold ones and forget about shares for a short while!Can't see markets making a significant leg up from here in a hurry though. Commodities plunging; China struggling and the clueless central bankers are not helping massively...

One can never be sure Phil - who knows with what's going on in the markets right now!You know I absolutely love the underlying business model here and I hope I get a chance to get in sooner rather than later. This is a very good company to hold for the long term I reckon. Have a good evening.

Burberry Group plc (LON:BRBY)‘s stock had its “buy/neutral” rating reissued by research analysts at Goldman Sachs in a report released on Friday, Analyst Ratings.Net reports. They presently have a GBX 2,070 ($31.91) price objective on the stock.

1 A high number on the payrolls and the talk will be of a september rate increase which will trash emerging markets

2 A low number will say 'growth' is stalling and we`re heading for deflation and profit downgrading.

I think it's odds on there is further significant Chinese devaluation
on the cards.

It's been a tough market now for months, put a chunk in to PNL yesterday
on the rational they are due (very overdue) some significant outperformance.

Agree with all of that and that`s why I`ve only got 10% in equities now. Personal debt and governments debt worldwide is unsustainable, population growth is just unemployable so where does the cash come from to buy things ?

I`ve no idea what`s happening at the moment. Markets seem calmer when China is closed for business like today ... they`re on holiday until monday.... US non-farm payrolls tomorrow so interest rates once again in focus :-S

If China stabilises a bit and with the latest on ECB QE, it is very likely that the share price will go higher from here in the next while me thinks
