07/3/2005 18:52 | Cause a 20 something hairdresser cant afford a property in the UK, fair play shes doing something about it instead of moaning about UK property prices. | peterstilgoe
07/3/2005 18:09 | i dont agree - property prices dont work like share prices - so i think the fact that a 20 something hairdresser wants to buy property abroad just shows that the appetite for overseas property purchases is still growing | roodboy
02/3/2005 14:14 | it may be time to reconsider ones appetite for property abroad when over hearing a 20 something hairdresser extoling the virues of buying in an ex-communist country along with her friend, bit like when every cabbie was giving out tips in the dot-com madness. | agnes3
28/2/2005 13:27 | thats ok - i wont hold it against you! ;) | roodboy

21/2/2005 22:37 | roodboy - i know a lot about the blackseaproperty fund - has merrils name and money all over it, but is being punted by merchant securities, a dodgy bunch i can assure you (well its uk commercial property division). Was heavily over subscribed but i managed to squeak a few clients into it. Due to list at NAV (plus large mark up I imagine) but has an option worth 21m euros which also needs to be priced in. other then that, its a copycat of this although better supported institutionally and with some vague guarantees about capital preservation. collins stewart are also active. Ive heard its due to list march 17th although this is due to be determined tomorrow. i can assure you that a lot of investors saw how this share performed when it 1st listed and will be taking positions in the placement with the explicit aim of locking in a nice profit after a few days. Could be worth taking a speculative position in the market. My clients are also looking to sell if that scenario repeats itself. | mdchand
21/2/2005 21:18 | looks like a 200,000 sell matched with a 190,000 buy chart looking better now shoold retrace back to £1 . | dwelshmafia

17/2/2005 14:46 | nice buy of 100,000 shares ,funds sniffing around ,if their buying dhould you lead the way too. | dwelshmafia
17/2/2005 11:58 | A bit of bottom fishing has been going on I see in this share, but will most likely end soon and then the share drop back once more. Still a pipedream till the company presents a clear 'buying plan' for property. I think our buys are -40% what they should have been V the market in general, and will give us a nice holiday thrown in when we want one. Our money will be tied up in concrete and soil, not just in paper. What I am trying to say a 'Direct Investment' into actual physical property is better than into somebody's ideas/pipedreams. Those who may say.....ah but I've only got £2K to spend, so can't afford a house, think again.....oh yes you can B | biswell
17/2/2005 11:50 | Hello Peter Me and Linda, my partner and brake, ended up at Pamporovo after 1m of snow. Very Xmasy, I enjoyed an impromptu snowball fight with another busload of passengers as both stopped to put on snow chains for the final leg up. My olde cricketing skills were still in evidence , and I scored several direct hits with some force. We caught a bus to Plovdiv, and another to Varna, which was an interesting trip , but one which I would not do again. The train is better. We spent 2 days in Varna and looked at some properties to the North which we are in the process of buying, I don't want to say where as it would mean I might be able to be tracked down and eliminated. I have upset some folks on this site with my direct approach you see. Yes the weather was bad in Varna itself, but our first day it was sunny, the second it turned into a blizzard and we got out at 23.00 hours on what I reckon was the last train to leave Varna for Plovdiv. It ran in conditions which sometimes rocked the train. A UK train would not even have pulled out the station. We managed to get the 7am bus to Pamporovo and back to our hotel by 11.00 am, we are now experienced Bulgarian commuters. B | biswell
