28/7/2005 19:23 | switch into BKSA imho... great update yesterday... | snaptastic
22/6/2005 12:20 | 3 days of dramatic price swings and from the moment the price recovered to the issue price investors did nothing but SELL. I don't blame them but I cannot understand why MM's thought it was a good idea to push the price up when there were no purchases??? Everything about this share has warning signs, why don't the Board issue a progress report or some form of press release to salve the nerves of their own investors? - nothing makes sense. | roddyb
20/6/2005 16:50 | I like the jump in price today, a new director so the MM's bump the price up by 10p thinking we are lemmings (that's those of us who watch rather than own these shares). The fact is far more people have sold than bought because there is nothing substantive in the appointment. I hope the MM's buy a whole load more because the retail market ain't going to! | roddyb

18/6/2005 11:39 | bulgaria won't join the EU any time soon... if at all..... the Union is creaking at the edges In the mean time you have a company which invests in a foreign land with a funny currency and poor governance.... No announcements from management since floatation..... Sounds like a concept stock that could go off the boil to me... Slap | slapdash
03/6/2005 18:43 | I'm Bulgarian and if you want my opinion Bulgarians are buying properties at market prices at the moment. You should not look only at the seaside, where lots of foreigners are buying summer properties, etc. For instance Sofia (where most of the sales are to Bulgarians) the prices are above 600 - 700 EUR/sq.m. and rising and people are still buying. One thing is for sure - the prices will not rise as fast as the last couple of years, but the estimates are for at least 15 % for 2005. Cheers | monsan
02/6/2005 13:18 | Thought this might be of interest: EU to warn Bulgaria, Romania over delayed accession reforms BRUSSELS (AFX) - The EU's executive commission is poised to give Bulgaria and Romania warnings that their reforms to join the bloc in 2007 have fallen behind schedule, enlargement commissioner Olli Rehn said. The "early warning letters" to be dispatched to Sofia and Bucharest "will focus on the evident current shortcomings in the reforms of both countries", he told reporters. "This effectively means a yellow card," he said, adding, "I trust that both countries can read the political climate of Europe so that they take these yellow cards particularly seriously so as to avoid the use of the safeguard clauses," which could delay accession a year. The commissioner said the warnings pointed out five areas where Bulgaria has fallen behind and seven for Romania. In particular, Bulgaria needs to reform its legal system to ensure greater independence among judges and fight corruption. "Bulgaria has still plenty of homework to do... Bulgaria must understand that it is not off the hook but it still has to do its homework," Rehn said. Romania also needs to reform its legal system as well as its police forces and fight against corruption. pg-lt/loc/tm/ak | isa23
01/6/2005 08:32 | The ramifications for this share from the French vote have not yet sunk in. Bulgaria coming in 2007 is a dream...it ain't going to happen Also expect Turkey and Romanian property markets to suffer from Brit buyers stopping buying B | biswell
31/5/2005 13:56 | ive watched this and BKSA since float - havent invested in either as yet - BKSA seems like a better option IMO - at least some news today from BKSA altho im not sure its anything new | roodboy
29/5/2005 06:39 | biswell - 26 Jan'05 - 17:45 - 159 of 231 edit Bulgaria- the Best EU Property Punt (BPD) The punt has a hole in it that is leaking methinks....still if you paid 50p to get in 60p is still a decent time to get out of said punt before it sinks. I.E goes less than 50p B | biswell
29/5/2005 06:36 | roodboy - 25 Jan'05 - 14:48 - 147 of 230 how low will this one go ...? biswell - 25 Jan'05 - 14:49 - 148 of 230 edit 50p B | biswell
29/5/2005 06:34 | I have lost 2 deals in trying to buy bulgarian property.....both times the seller took their property off the market when I tried to buy it....and for what was being asked as well cos I thought the price was right. Well as it turned out it might have been a blessing in diisguise .....why, well firstly the solicitor who has set up my company to buy also sells property....he is a nice bloke, a bit like myself ....and we had a good honest heart to heart chat about stock markets the state of world property markets and in particular European property markets. When we had each others length measured....he said this ....the Bulgarian market would be good till about 2006......but that was before ............ The French NON vote if it comes in should have dire consequences on the future of the EU and the Euro as I have said. Many poorer countries like Romania and Bulgaria for example are hoping for admission in 2007....Turkey is also hoping for admission ASAP. Property prices in these countries have exploded over the last 1 to 2 years as a result of the hype of EU entry bringing loads of dosh into these countries and Brits and other affluent europeans have been feeding at the trough. I would suggest that in the event of a 'NON' vote, many will get stuffed Heheheheh (Muttley style best used) Adverse newspaper comments following the 'NON' vote will get people thinking that maybe such countries won't be coming into the free money and eutopian dream of honey that the EU has been portrayed as. When Brits and the other affluent Europeans put their houses up for sale....who will buy ? I can't see Bulgarians or Romanians or Turks paying the price they did can you ? B | biswell

24/3/2005 15:05 | roodboy If you e-mailed me, sorry I haven't been in touch. I'm in Bulgaria at the moment on the Hotels computer, & for some reason, I can't download the Hushmail engine. I think this computer is full of junk, & the steam pressure is falling off a bit. Will access when I get back & be in touch then. If you're interested, the earlier you can get in the better. I'm already being offered serious profits on 3 properties that I haven't even completed on yet. I think there will still be serious money to be made in the next few years, but not as much as at the moment, or of course 2 years ago. Those guys are really in the money now. | wanderlust
21/3/2005 13:50 | wanderlust Am happy to compare notes with you on any potential property investments - i will send u an email today on the address above | roodboy

18/3/2005 14:16 | roodboy As I see it, there is not a centralised land registry, but each area has it's own & it all seems sound. Every time you purchase a piece of land it's done through a solicitor as in UK, you then all troop off to a Notary Public, who is all powerful. He has to see a detailed dsecription of the property, a proper map with the boundaries properly marked & absolute proof of title from all the previous owners. If anything is not in perfect order, he will chuck it out & you start over again. It is long winded, but as you go through it, it does inspire a degree of confidence. I'm going to Turkey in July, it's a family holiday, but I'm going to ask the boss for a day off to check a few things out. It might be interesting to compare notes. That's if she'll let me of course. | wanderlust
18/3/2005 13:36 | Wanderlust - re:212 Yes it was in Croatia that i heard of these problems - does Bulgaria have a proper land registry? Ive found that many Eastern European countries do not have one or are just in the process of setting one up Im off to Turkey after Easter to try and find some land out there - as its not ex-communist they have land registry etc all set up - this give me more reassurance with regard to BPD - i think many are selling up and moving their money to BKSA | roodboy
17/3/2005 21:09 | peter - apols for delay replying - I invested some monies into the shares at underwriting stage for a client so know a little bit about the fund. | mdchand |
