08/9/2021 10:14 | Looking at 2019, they issued a trading update on 20th June 2019 and results came out 10th Oct 2019. This year we had trading update 17th June 2021, thus, I would expect the results on or slightly before 10th Oct 2021. | red ninja

01/9/2021 09:34 | Measurenguy I think most are aware of the extension to the existing contingent liability from Allianz although worth stating it again. However, it did look oversold at a price in the 40s. At the current 54-54.5p price range it's a bit more of a gamble on how next March's court case pans out. | red ninja
01/9/2021 09:24 | The shareprice here is likely to remain becalmed until the legal dispute with Allianz has been resolved. N Brown had disclosed a contingent liability of £29m in relation to the Allianz claim in the preliminary accounts to 27 February 2021, which the company anticipated represented the maximum downside. However, Allianz subsequently increased the scope of its original claim and it believes the extension to be worth £36m,which takes the total contingent liability up to £65m. A contingent liability reflects the possibility of a future fund outflow. That differs from a provision which relates to a probable outflow of funds. The company said the claim and counterclaim are ‘extremely complex, and proceedings remain at an early stage.’ However, it is scheduled to be heard in court sometime next year unless the two companies can resolve the matter through private arbitration. Meanwhile existing investors seem to be holding firm with the Alliance family controlling circa 52% and the following 10 institutions holding 40.7% between them.
