02/10/2020 09:48 | Britvic not such a juicy pick after barren summer Friday October 02 2020, 12.01am, The Times Being on Goldman Sachs’ “buy list” isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Just ask Britvic, the soft drinks maker. The company, which owns the Fruit Shoot and J2O brands, made it into Goldman’s exclusive club at the end of February, since when the shares have dropped nearly 10 per cent, even after a summer rally. By comparison, the index that Goldman’s measures itself against is down only 3.7 per cent over that timeframe. The analysts reckon that the lockdown was particularly painful for Britvic given its exposure to bars and restaurants which had to shut. Rubbing salt in the wound was the powerful bank’s decision to dump Britvic from its list of top stocks yesterday, which sent the shares down another 49p | philanderer | |
