Posted at 03/6/2023 00:20 by philanderer CT’s Smith adds Britvic to the menuColumbia Threadneedle manager fund Jeremy Smith has started a position in drinks manufacturer Britvic (BVIC), which he believes is attractively valued after falling out of favour post-Covid-19. Smith added the Citywire Elite Companies + rated stock to his £3.7bn CT UK Equity Income fund in April, stating that the company was a ‘well-invested consumer staples firm that has demonstrated resilience in a tough consumer environment’. ‘Following a period of underperformance post-Covid, when the shares fell out of favour amid the reopening trade, Britvic now appears attractively valued relative to its sector peers,’ he said. ‘The company is delivering on its core portfolio while rebuilding margins over time.’ Smith is also ‘encouraged ‘Britvic also offers higher-than-average dividend growth,’ he said. citywire |
Posted at 16/5/2023 08:18 by our haven Excellent results all round. Increase to dividend and new share buybacks of 75 m. I thought that the share price would have moved higher on these numbers but guess the market was expecting good numbers. |

Posted at 17/5/2022 14:15 by km18 Britvic plc posted interims this morning. The Group enjoyed another strong performance and announced the start of a £75m share buyback program. Revenues were up 18.5% to £719.3m, profit after tax was up 48.7% to £45.8m and adjusted EPS was up 27.8% to 19.4p. Business is recovering from COVID as are profits and EPS. Meanwhile valuation is attractive with forward PE ratio at 14 ranked 2nd best in the Beverages sector, dividend yield at 3.4% is top ranked. Share price has been in a correction since last August so share price lacks some momentum, is rebounding from early March lows. Profitability ratios are solid, net debt is a little high, but is easing lower. BVIC is a solid investment, but growth potential is modest, so not particularly spectacular.
