Exchange rates buoy BPI's UK business

I'm hoping for 300p by year end!!

Based on broker forecasts we're looking at a profit of around £11-£12m with market cap about £70m these are very cheap.

Well considering there's still 6 weeks to go till the year end that's a very good statement imo.

"Earnings at upper end of expectations"

Spiers & Jeffrey are forecasting 35p so I take it they may mean more like 34p or more?

From the company's website:

Investec forecast 30.6p 2009, 33.2p 2010
Thorold Mackie 31.2p 2009, 37.8p 2010
Edison 27.5p 2009, 32.9p 2010

So on that basis 30p this year.

Looking at the coming year 33p+ looks very likely, perhaps a fair bit more.

PE 8 or less looks cheap imo. 4%+ yield too.

Earnings at upper end of expectations???? Presumably not less than 30p then? If economic activity in Europe picks up through 2010 and 2011 and costs are cut from 2HY 2010 by the Stockton closure we should get to 40p plus at some point. Plenty of upside and a nice dividend in the meantime

Nice statement, fwd PE must be below 7 now.

Breakout should kick in too imo.

About time these got their skates on :-)

Excellent......

As we indicated at the time of our Interim Statement on 28 August, July was a
much better month than in 2008. The same pattern continued into August,
September and October and we are well positioned to have a much better year than in 2008, with the outcome nearer the top end of current market expectations
