17/12/2021 11:31 | and UP we go! | topazfrenzy
16/12/2021 22:57 | Up hopefully!!! | redbaron10
16/12/2021 22:38 | At close BTI was 37.11 which equates to 2783. I would expect it will open tomorrow around 2710/20. Where it goes then who knows | car1pet
16/12/2021 20:38 | BTI up 3% in the US at the moment.Different strokes for different folks i guess | redbaron10
16/12/2021 17:47 | The US price is way out of kilter with the UK price. At the moment the US price is $36.57 which equates to 2745p. The UK price closed around 2690p. It will be interesting to see the UK price tomorrow morning | car1pet
16/12/2021 12:52 | Price jumping around today. The pre-market in the US has it priced at 36.09 which is close to 2700. | car1pet
14/12/2021 23:35 | BATS have joint ventures with companies that are developing treatments for Covid that use tobacco. | apollocreed1
14/12/2021 14:21 | Well played Kipper. Reminds me of that song "Know when to hold, know when to fold and know when to walk away" | car1pet
14/12/2021 14:11 | I wonder if there is any ongoing R&D in this company? They claimed to have done so in the recent annual report but they stated nothing on what do they do. | peter1011
14/12/2021 13:14 | Still pleased i sold my £15k at 2,739, tho didn't expect share price to carry on up another 20p+. Six more trading day's to XD on 23rd. Then share price should drop by circ54p dividend. Don't intend buying back in unless i get the chance of 2,550 again. My p/f is now 78% in cash as i feel there may be a chance of a market downturn between now and Spring. Good luck to all those holding Kipper | kipper999
14/12/2021 08:51 | my prediction on the 12th of 2800 looks unlikely before XD. Looks as if day traders are back | car1pet
13/12/2021 21:35 | i'm surprised that it hasn't bounced a bit more than this. first share buyback on the agenda since before the reynolds acquisition. the beauty of share buybacks is the undervaluation now works in their favour. they want the share price to be as low as possible when doing them. it's quite remarkable that they've materially reduced net debt, maintained profits, paid uninterrupted dividends throughout lockdown, and yet haven't been given any credit at all in the share price. the market has been giddy for any vaguely positive news that the cyclical / weak companies have been serving up, yet the positive news flow here gets ignored. | m_kerr
12/12/2021 21:21 | All dips are likely to be bought from now on imo, and that includes ex-divi days and thereafter | topazfrenzy
12/12/2021 17:04 | I'll watch it this week could get close to 2800. I think i might sell if it gets to 2800 | car1pet
12/12/2021 13:26 | I'm not going to flip on the run up to divi either although its been a winning strategy for many to do so. Very strong leg up so far. I suspect a sea change and no strategy works forever. imho | pineapple1
12/12/2021 11:31 | Each to his own kipper, but I think I'll be hanging on - mind you there's quite a few days yet to XD and this could change. I detect a potential sea-change in BATS and IMB - I held on to IMB at the last XD and half expected carnage on the day, it didn't happen and IMB went down less than the dividend (albeit marginal). Absent of any severe new regulation and on the assumption they follow their debt reduction plans resulting in potential future buy-backs I can't see better value anywhere else in the market - BWDIK. | podgyted
10/12/2021 11:43 | A way to go yet IMHO.It's a momentum stock like RMG at the moment on the positive results.2780p break even point for my 2.1k of shares having added all the way down from £36 in the beginning, not counting the dividends I've banked.Happy to hold. | redbaron10
10/12/2021 11:05 | Good to see BATS going in the right direction :-) | philanderer
10/12/2021 10:47 | Couldn't resist. Took 2,739.57 596 shares. £1,025 tax free profit locked in. Good luck to those who hold for the 54p dividend Kipper | kipper999
10/12/2021 10:40 | looks like the funds are filling up | topazfrenzy
10/12/2021 10:36 | I'm thinking of following Kipper's strategy ie sell before XD then buy back when the price falls back. The price seems quite strong at the moment so will remain flexible. We are almost at Kipper's price of 2739. It feels as if it may get close to 2800p, say 2780, before XD | car1pet
10/12/2021 10:06 | The longer the US ban on PM's IQOS lasts the better it is for BATS and its NGPs to gain market share at the expense of PM.Good news flow will help sentiment here. | redbaron10
10/12/2021 10:04 | Sold out of these day before last divi @ 2,739. So didn't get the 53p. Bought back in in 3 lots; 2,552, 2,550 & 2,440 So bought back my original £10k plus added another £5k Thinking of doing the same again but unsure of a sell price. Tempting to lock in some profits in my IAS though. 8 trading day's remaining to XD Kipper | kipper999
10/12/2021 09:15 | Governments always underestimate the will of the people to make their own choices. If people choose to smoke, that’s up to them. And they will continue to do it because they enjoy it and they decide for themselves. | saltaire111 |
