10/12/2021 09:15 | Governments always underestimate the will of the people to make their own choices. If people choose to smoke, that’s up to them. And they will continue to do it because they enjoy it and they decide for themselves. | saltaire111

09/12/2021 10:21 | The market seems to have woken up finally to the road ahead, that it is with the non-combustibles, it can now see the crossover is very much in motion, and that a much larger market than smoking in the making in the long term possibly.. since vaping has been proven in studies to be 95% less harmful than conventional cigarettes, and heated cigarettes 70% less harmful | topazfrenzy
09/12/2021 10:16 | Vuse is such a great product, anyone still smoking should give it a go, I love it! | topazfrenzy
09/12/2021 10:14 | Vaping is very much still there and will replace smoking anyway, more people will end up vaping in the world than there are smokers today since it is not anywhere near as harmful as burning tobacco: 'Smoking has already been widely replaced by vaping among teenage New Zealanders, and is also attracting many young people who would never have taken up smoking – according to surveying of 19,000 high school students this year, nearly 20% were vaping daily or several times a day, the majority with high nicotine doses. That’s compared to 3% of those aged 15-17 who smoked daily in 2018, or 13% who smoked a decade earlier.' | topazfrenzy
09/12/2021 09:55 | New Zealand’s clampdown risks strengthening the growing black market. This danger will be mitigated by maintaining the availability of safer vaping alternatives, where BAT is global leader. The recent U.S. regulatory approval for Vuse seems to establish vaping as the preferred direction of travel for regulatory bodies. | scooo
09/12/2021 09:27 | Little to do with ethnicity and more to do with lower socio-economic status IMO. Just happens that most Maori and Pacifica are in that group. Anyway, this draconian ban is what happens when you have a hard left wing government with total control in parliament supported by a left leaning media and of course, the greenies and the Universities. | kiwi2007
09/12/2021 05:18 | New Zealand to ban smoking for future generationshTTps://w | gateside

08/12/2021 13:22 | ESG dumping may have depressed the share price for the last three years but this drag will surely abate as they increasingly become a smaller segment of the share register. If this subsiding headwind coincides with the introduction of a company share buyback program, the 2022 share price outlook could be bright. | scooo
08/12/2021 09:52 | UBS RAISES BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO PRICE TARGET TO 3,700 (3,500) PENCE - 'BUY' | philanderer
08/12/2021 07:36 | I agree MT was a good update and bodes well for maintaining divi for medium term. Is clear this company is shunned by future health ethics , but I’m afraid people and life stresses will always maintain the market . Flat share price but with the whopping 8% even I have moved in based on investment logic. There could be risks ahead with government legislation which I see as the major risk , but BATS are completely global footprint and will adapt. Reduction in their debt pile is also a positive step to give them future agility. Will add more ! | tornado12 |
