It's all pretty upbeat stuff

The thing I love about the team they've brought together, is their commitment and passion for the product and the desire to make it profitable

Some of the key employees (Alex, Spence, etc) should have added reason to really want the company to get into profit as soon as possible - they are unlikely to be buying big chunks of shares in any future placing and will not want to get diluted out the picture...

If socialGO becomes profitable in 2010 (I think it will), it's really going to shake the industry up, imo.

HA Ha TA - you beat me too it!

I got that mail too - looks like they are now confident enough in the platform to spam everyone who has ever subscribed to WL to tell them that making money on socialGO is easy...with 6528 members on WL I am guessing that the next couple of weeks may see a slight uplift in signups...by maybe 150-300 if usual hit rates on Email marketing are to be believed??

MONETIZATION - IT'S HAPPE-Ning ON SOCIALGO!

"Start shaking your money tree!
It's been some time since we've stood up here on our soapbox and spoken about MONETIZATION. But the time has returned! Things are really heating up here at the LAB and SocialGO as the POWER TOOLS start come off the production line.

We have just released LabAffiliate, the powerful companion to LabConnect. These two products empower you to do something that is NOT currently possible on other hosted platforms -- You can create you own network of related sites with universal login (LabConnect) and then utilize the Master Site as an SEO and Marketing portal to direct, track, and report all members sent through to the Sub Sites. Using our LabAds, you can then further monetize by creating an advertising banner campaign that spans across your entire network syndicate. Our upcoming LabCommission will let you further expand your empire by providing affiliate rewards for site members who refer new paying member to your network syndicate

With SocialGO and the tools from WidgetLaboratory... you truly CAN become a Social Network Mogul!

But wait, there's more! Take it one step further....

With the built-in capability to assign multiple permission levels to members, you can now create "up sell" premium features on any SocialGO site. This means that a Sub Site can bring in paid "members" from the Master Site referral, and then offer these members the opportunity to purchase additional content that is exclusive to that Sub Site alone (such as niche videos, photos, stories, etc). Everyone benefits form this multi-level marketing potential!

The LAB is soon releasing our LabCMS and LabAuction products that will allow a site owner to create or plugin an unlimited variety of content in modular form, as well as create member to member auction capability. SocialGO is also testing their new universal shopping cart feature called GOcart that will provide the transaction engine for site owners and their members.

For the icing on the cake, throw in our Virtual Gifts/Drinks, Member Style Pages/Templates, LabClassifieds, LabCRM, and other features not found on any other social network platform... and you have yourself a bonanza of money-making opportunities without ever leaving your SocialGO network!

As promised back in October of last year, WidgetLaboratory is fully dedicated to the concept of providing Social Network creators the ability to create PROFITABLE social networks that are fully white-label and under their OWN control.

Remember: It doesn't take a $117 million dollars in Venture Capital funding to figure out that making it EASY for YOU to make money is the way for US to be hugely profitable as well..."

That is, if they really are going to release data showing they are on track to reach break-even...

I wonder if a statement about large holdings will soon appear? Be it selling or buying, a fair amount of stock has changed hands so an announcement for breaching thresholds must be due?

:-)

I think they have around 2,000 sites paying for their services - i agree about your comments ref RPU and this will be a key factor.

As far as what will make the market stand up and listen, I think that as long as the number is in the multiple 1000s and demonstrates growth then we should multibag from this level...

If we get a detailed breakdown of the networks - ie zocku sign ups with some kind of of time stamp and the same for socialGo then we could make really tangible assumptions on their prospects but i am guessing that the number will be lumped into on and we will not find out how many are signing up per month...either way, i think we'll find out in a few weeks

The next figures will, of course, be skewed by that exodus of ning adult networks

I see that as a one-off event

Although those users will be helping us with a stable base to our business, it's not something we should be banking on happening again. This is why I say that the CURRENT RATE of paid-for sign-ups and the average price they pay are the all important factors

If they have say, 2,500 networks now, but 2,000 of those are adult ones that came from ning, then we would have only generated 250 networks ourselves since the last trading statement....

How many new (paid for) networks were signed-up in July?

Tricky...

A) 2,500 - optimistic, I know, but that's based on them having about a 3% conversion rate overall

B) No idea, as it's more complex than just the number of networks (explained below)

For me, the actual number of networks on it's own isn't the thing that will affect the shares price - what investors need to see is that the CURRENT RATE of uptake and the AVERAGE PRICE BEING PAID is going to be sufficient to see them through to profitability

If they had, say, 3,000 signed-up, but they were only paying £8 each per month and the rate had slowed a lot since the initial ning exodus, then that would indicate that things are going to be tricky going forward

On the other hand, if they had 3,000 networks paying £32 per month and they were still seeing a very good rate of sign-ups, then we cold see the price multi-bag over the matter of a few days

Carl

A) 6 paying sites... it may as well be

B) 10

50% plus increase in paying sites equates to a 50% share price rise of half a pee.

Jeez am I fed up or what.

Just for a laugh, can those following this thread give an idea of what they think -

a/ the current number of paying sites is;

b/ the number that they would see as real progress for BGT - ie extreme (50%+) share price effecting ?

I just want to gauge what will excite the market...

Cheers

The team has been super busy working on backend upgrades and modifications including implementing to manage the business side of the SocialGO platform. Now that this is complete, the development team can swing onto making great features for your networks. This week is the first of many new-feature releases which we will be bringing you over the next 2 months. FEATURED GROUPS

So perhaps you have 200 groups on your network but you want to give some of them the spotlight? Well now you can with Featured Groups. Simply head over to a groups profile (as an administrator) and hit the new Feature Group button.

Then simply go and drag the featured groups widget to the top of the groups list and your done! VIDEOS IN GROUPSA long-time requested feature is the ability to add videos to your groups. Again, you will need to drag the widget into your Group Profiles, but once that is done, your member will be able to upload videos galore to your group profiles. Simple!

MEMBER LEVELS + NEW MEMBER MANAGERThe Member Manager has been updated to allow sorting by column headings, better searching and easier navigation. In addition you will also find a new sub-tab called Member Levels.

In here you will be able to define sub-sets of members who have access to specific tabs, specific content and certain features.

When you edit a Tab's settings you will now be able to choose which member Levels can access it. If you leave them all unticked, anyone will have access.

We will soon be hooking this into our MEMBER BILLING system so that you can charge people to access premium areas of your site. This will be a fantastic way of generating serious revenue from your network by upselling your members from a free account to a paid account. We will also be introducing support for ClickAndBuy.com and revamping our PayPal support to give all network owners the opportunity to build profitable networks on SocialGO. And finally.....SocialGO is also working on some in-house widgets including an integration pack for BuyItSellIt.com, probably one of the best shopping carts around and a range of other heavily requested features which we will be getting out the door in the coming weeks. is also producing new and exciting widgets and we have 30+ new and improved themes coming to the Theme store. I am excited and i hope you are too! As always we are here to help at . We will be doing a Workshop today on these new features if you want to come and take a look or if you have any questions. Cheers!

... I can't wait for the next update from BGT and wish time would pass more quickly...

Now up to over 73,000

Presuming that doesn't include zocku, but not sure

The US is clearly where the product is aimed...voice-overs ar done by americans on all videos i've watched and the thing is priced in US Dollars - bit of a give away...

Ian, buy some, you know you want to! lol

Seriously, I do this we have a winning stock here. I'll be happier when they release the next RNS becasue im worried about cashflow but as far as product, market, demand etc etc, I am more than happy that we are and capable of delivering. The fact they see benefit in recruiting (AND NOT DOWNSIZING) is testament to how much business they are generating...well, imo it is
