09/5/2009 07:50 | WIDGET STORE - IT'S ALIVE! | the analyst
07/5/2009 06:55 | TA - I am just thinking that the next time BGT bring news of progress with socislGO it will indicate significant growth and i hope above expectation (3%) premium take up. Not sure when this will come but i think it will be sooner than september | carl79
06/5/2009 21:34 | Do you mean you are expecting a solid update soon, Carl? Or, are your thinking along the lines of the update that comes with the results in September being solid? | the analyst
06/5/2009 19:51 | carl, its just the mm's moving the limits. sorry couldnt resist, im sure it will move back up. if anyone is up early tomorrow have a look at hawk, its recently broken out but we have just had some indication that news is on its way. might well be worth a trade / hold. | traidemark
06/5/2009 18:58 | low volume...we've all seen this before. Will be lifted (or will slump) on news or lack thereof - as always... I am expecting a solid update on socialgo progress... | carl79
06/5/2009 15:33 | ... this dont look so good!! | haff1
05/5/2009 15:26 | lol...just mms moving limits...no need for alarm :-) | carl79
05/5/2009 15:17 | Go back on holiday you!! | digger27
05/5/2009 13:27 | nice to see bgt holding gains...the graph since october has been a welcome change and a trend is certainly developing | carl79
02/5/2009 21:25 | 77Monty - also take a look at GNG. | ucretin
01/5/2009 16:27 | The exchange rate doesnt help and the prices i have above are in night clubs. Beers are around $7 in your hotel and free if you are gambling - so find a low limit table, try not to lose money and you can end up getting paid to drink! The flight and hotel stay is actually quite cheap though. Shopping is reasonable but alcohol is certainly on par if not more than London. | carl79
01/5/2009 16:13 | sounds brilliant carl, certainly going to go but ive always heard its dead cheap, doesnt sound it. 15$ is £10 at todays exchange rate, for a bottle of beer ? thats a bloody scandal, especially if you have a tip on top. | traidemark
01/5/2009 15:37 | Traide - They advertise the prices for bottle service (although the tax and gratuity can be a shock...if you dont give the expected tip they will let you know and ask if the service was poor - if it wasn't, dig deeper...)but for general drinks at the bar they dont (as far as im aware - i wasn't looking to be fair). Expect to pay $7 for water, $7-15 for bottled beer and about the same for spirits depending on choice. Tipping is expected EVERYWHERE for EVERYTHING so always have lots of $1 bills handy. Everything is of course cheaper off the strip and if you are gambling you can drink what you like for free - give the waitress a nice tip and she will come back more frequently...You can buy drinks in local shops of course and take them to your room which lessens the blow to the wallet if you are planning a big night. We took 8 bottles of champagne with us (Manchester Airport duty free)... put them on ice in the hotel bath and fired into them on my birthday. The same bottle in the club was $450 plus tax and tip! You won't regret the trip if you go - lots of amazing things to do - some surreal! You can get crane lifted into the sky and eat a gourmet meal while suspended over the strip! Crazy! As TA says, you can comfortably get by on any budget and have a fantastic time...fly direct though as we nearly missed our connection due to bad weather and a delayed first leg! I complained about the attitude of the check in clerk who was amazingly rude and we got a free upgrade on our return trip :-) | carl79
01/5/2009 14:19 | carl, im seriously thinking about vegas, was supposed to be there this year, do they advertise the prices or just spring them on you | traidemark
30/4/2009 23:00 | Right, 25p it is then! Good stuff | the analyst
30/4/2009 21:34 | traide, I sh*t you not! There were more expensive tables! Basically, if you want to sit in a booth in a club, you have to get bottle service. They charge you for a full bottle by the shot - so assuming $15 for a grey goose on the rocks you are looking at $600 for the bottle (you get free mixers - but big whoop, coke is cheaper than water out there!). Then you add 18% gratuity plus 8% tax. Not something i'd make a habit of but you do feel like a star for the night. Between a few of you it is not too bad but still mighty expensive...the club was out of this world though and i did not mind - it was an experience... Ian, 25p is not imo pie in the sky. If they are successful at ramping up the premium subscriptions (which i think they are) then a firm floor will soon develop - then it is just a case of deciding whether or not the run rate will remain in tact. If so and 2-3k+ sign ups per week is to become the norm then pricing on forward earning potential would quickly get the price to 25p. (Quickly is used loosely and relative - im not talking months). Yes its a big risk but the reward/risk fits my appetite right now. If 2p is sustained then i can see 3p being reached very quickly (months) - all depends on what is driving the latest surge... | carl79
30/4/2009 21:16 | I accept your apology, following your little tirade, Ian. Perhaps next time you should make sure you get your facts right before spouting off, calling people muppets etc. I've been through some past posts and see that late last year you were suggesting a placing at 0.5p would take place. Well, that was proved to be a 'pie in the sky' prediction, because hre we stand at a price of 2p, having risen 300% from the lows of last year I'll stick with my 25p target | stefanos2
30/4/2009 21:02 | I've enjoyed tracking my investment and fortunes of this tech company. Got a bit more money to invest after banking profits in other comps. Can anyone suggest a good company of a similar ilk to BGT that could explode in the same way? Thinking small tech companies that have got good potential and a unique proposition? | 77monty
30/4/2009 20:57 | sorry your right stefanos £50m is correct to many 0 on the calc but your still pie in the sky with your 25p target imho, | iantc
30/4/2009 19:20 | iantc - 30 Apr'09 - 19:12 - 4181 of 4182 "it was you that had a price target of 25p ie £500m ,muppet," There are 200m shares in issue. Right now the share price is 2.5p to buy, making the market cap £5m (if you use the offer price to calculate). If the price rises rises 10-fold to 25p, then the market cap will also rise 10-fold to £50m. Where are you getting this £500m figure from. For the life of me, I can't see anyone suggesting £500m. I've never understood why some posters are so offensive and aggressive all the time. All I've done is suggest a price I think they can achieve if they are bought out in a year's time (£50m) - you don't have to come steaming in all guns blazing and attack me for it, calling me a muppet etc. | stefanos2
30/4/2009 18:17 | cup and handle on the chart proved itself carl ... "$2,000+ after tax and tip ($500) (for some scantily clad beauty to simply pour the drinks)" are you joking ? was that drinks and food all night, for how many ? only time ive ever payed for a waitress (topless) was whilst alot younger in germany, 50d's about £20 quid for her service and a topless dance . | traidemark |
