22/1/2024 09:12 | Cavendish -Brickability has announced the acquisition of Topek Southern Limited (TSL) for up to £48m, of which the initial consideration is £27.3m. The business compliments Brickability's existing capabilities in cladding installation and cladding remediation and will be included within the Contracting Division. The company states that the deal is earnings accretive from the first full year. We believe this is a positive deal for Brickability, and we maintain our target price of 95p. | davebowler
18/1/2024 16:52 | I am assuming that everyone here is aware that company is almost certainly going to warn in its next statement. Perhaps i should add IMO. Its nothing specific to the company purely the sector backdrop. It should be in the price. I would hope its not going to surprise anyone when/if it happens. | spooky
17/1/2024 12:46 | Think it's a read across from Ibstock (IBST) who reported lower revenues for 2023 today. Also inflation numbers may constrain house purchases due to interest rates, with knock on to suppliers of building materials. I hold BRCK and would add if I had some free cash in my ISA. | alter ego
17/1/2024 12:34 | Hi all, I am new to bulletin boards so please be gentle with me. Am I missing something with this share? There hasn't been any bad news that I have seen and the fundamentals still look good but the share price just keeps sinking, possible profit taking? I sold my holding when my stop loss was hit after I had moved it into profit, albeit a smaller one, wishing I had taken profits at 63p but hindsight is 20/20. Can anyone offer some insight? I had considered buying in again as I felt this could be a bid target for one of the larger firms in future but I may be wrong. Any thoughts | jwinter18
27/12/2023 16:40 | Wish they wouldn't. What will be the next taxpayer-funded scam to keep the property show on the road? What happens when prices have been fluffed to a level that no longer bears any relationship to reality? Hadn't realised how many 35 year mortgages were around now. Perhaps the next thing is to mortgage a kidney. | spectoacc
27/12/2023 16:38 | Rumours of extra government support for first time house buyers in the March budget will be giving a further boost here. | cordwainer
21/12/2023 16:31 | could sell a lot at 58.00 near the close . but didnt ;-)) | dicktrade
20/12/2023 11:44 | That is a nice chunky buy. They have closed the offer off at 52p to buys now - it is 52.9p to buy. It looks well bid too with someone mopping up 100k and 63k @ 51.5p and still pushing the bid in the market higher. So this might already be threatening a break out higher above 52p. Didn't think it would test it this soon with a buy like that, but seen as this buying is coming in, have to give it a go. In at 52p. Let's see if it can push on now. All imo DYOR UPDATE 12:23 Price has spiked 8.4% with the current bid-offer at 54p-57p. This is the bit where the market makers will move the price down intraday, a few sellers likely come in, but then it should settle, and if this break holds, the intraday buyers will likely come in and buy the dip to confirm the breakout. This would be a very significant chart breakout if it pushes on from here. It could ultimately be one where a proper trend is formed (like the bigger caps) and it could become a buy the dip type bullish mentality. One step at a time though. UPDATE:15:49 Decided to shave all the hair off me head - proper militant convict look now. Hair gets boring sometimes. Meanwhile....BRCK has fallen abit intraday, currently 53p-55p. Price has now settled here and it looks like abit of buying will now push the price to 54p-56p. Then it will depend on whether the market wants to keep pushing it higher as the very quiet festive break approaches. Just gonna hang on now and see if it can have some momentum, even if slow paced. That is enough of me rambling on! | sphere25
20/12/2023 11:22 | Looks like that 681,683 trade was the seller being taken out. | spooky
20/12/2023 10:04 | Mine was the first trade of the day, buy 10k @ 50.8p. Showing as a sell though so maybe most of the trades are also buys? 🤷a | smartmoney100
20/12/2023 09:43 | Where's the seller gone? He was there an hour ago. | spooky

20/10/2023 10:15 | re today's increase in holdings: "The Hanover Catalyst Fund (HCF) generates returns by taking high conviction equity positions with a long-term time horizon. It is primarily focused on small cap UK and Nordic companies that are under-analysed or under-appreciated in the market." | cordwainer

13/10/2023 10:14 | Yes, but "immediately earnings accretive" could be useful. But it is part debt-funded with potentially dilutive new share issuance in the future. Quick review of Deferred Payments coming due from past Acquisitions. Some are subject to performance criteria.
