Interesting deal.
Clawback in placing to allow existing shareholders to participate.
Wonder how that will pan out?
Hmmm....

Thanks for the update.
I chickened out at .805001. Sold 4771 and kept 229 at zero cost. I have my 'dividend' but it isn't all that I had hoped for. I was looking more of a return at 81.5p or 82p. My core holding remains intact.
There have been a few large sellers c80p

Building materials giant Breedon said yesterday it did not expect any adverse impact from its involvement in the Aberdeen city bypass road despite the collapse of one of the consortium partners behind the project.

We are chasing each other around at present!
If it doesn't show the requisite upward price movement, in the short term, then I will certainly be holding on tight to my 'trading' stock alongside my core holding. In addition to the anticipated continuing capital growth, I want to create my own dividend.

Just to add 31% reduction in DEBT which is very important as not many companies can reduce debt these days . In fact lots of companies increase debt for acquisitions. I I have been selling my positions with other companies but will hold on BREENDON.

Breedon (Add, TP 92p) - Finals - ahead of expectations, more of the same for 2018
Full year results were c3% better than expected with reported PBT up 52% on the back of a 43% rise in turnover. Reported EPS was 4.14p vs our estimate of 3.98p. No dividend has been declared as expected. Net debt was lower than expected at c. £110m (vs £169m in 2016 and our estimate of £132m). Divisionally, the cement business performed a bit better than expected while central costs were lower than forecast. Outlook comments point to strong residential and infrastructure markets which are core for the group although softer new commercial/industrial will hold growth back. As ever the group is working on more bolt-ons which may come through in 2018. Overall we see modest upgrades to forecasts. The shares have slipped 11% ytd on the back of some market and sector weakness. On current forecasts the shares are trading on a PE of c. 17x for CY18 with an EV/EBITDA of just under 10x. Given these robust figures we expect the shares to rally back into the mid 80's today.

I thought it would, but the sector in general is downbeat at present.
It is easily worth 80p any day of the week.
There are a few sellers around again and that doesn't help.
