I remember something similar happening with CGL - Catlin Group insurance co. I held once.
big volume couple pence under buy price.
next day RNS holding revealed new institutional holders.
They obviously got slight discount as they took such a large block.

Might be the same here Red.

edit: Although it would be preferred if they paid a premium.

3 sales, just after 3.00pm:
28.825m; 25.435m and 67.693m all at 72p.

Just seems to me that the sector is out of sorts, based on negative media comment on housing and delays in infrastructure projects.

Agree malcontent, and definitely the dog of the week so far in my portfolio. Nineteen up and just BREE down today, so not all gloom at all ;-)

Thanks philanderer. It is a long term hold in my view. They are still working all over the country though, for instance:

"An overnight surfacing improvement project worth £520,000 is planned to take place on the A82 between Tarbet and Crianlarich starting next month which will see over 4km of the route resurfaced. (2nd to 29th September)"

Not much movement. Volumes today were only 64 % of the daily average but according to my platform there have been more buys than sells in the recent few days. Let's hope the analysts have got it right!
