04/12/2018 13:08 | Market report.. Also boosting sterling on Tuesday was data which showed the construction sector expanded at the fastest pace in four months in November, thanks to an increase in new work and consequent gains in job creation. The construction Purchasing Managers' Index climbed to 53.4 from 53.2 in October, beating economist forecasts for a score of 52.5. A reading above 50 suggests growth in the sector, whereas one below the mark indicates contraction. The UK construction sector expanded for an eight month in a row and the latest reading was the highest since July. Job growth was the fastest since December 2015. However, business confidence was relatively subdued due to Brexit uncertainty. | philanderer

30/11/2018 08:25 | I found Breedon after the referendum result and it seemed a stonking buy. Can't believe we're back at these prices two years on. | tini5
30/11/2018 08:16 | phil Yes you are right. I have a feeling that Woodford indicated that he was ready to exit the stock altogether. konkel Agreed, the house builders, and construction, have been hit by the turmoil surrounding Brexit. That has added to the threat of interest rates rising, led by the USA. Everyone is talking about the bull market being in late cycle and therefore we should see a natural downturn. This sector is always the leader downwards. | redartbmud
30/11/2018 05:13 | I think it's highly unlikely that it's Woodford selling; his stake would be placed (as it was last time) not fed into the market. More likely this is simply Brexit fears and a pull back in line with other domestic construction related businesses. | konkel
29/11/2018 23:56 | red , I think they'd have to report if they went below 6% A person must notify the issuer of the percentage of its voting rights he holds as shareholder or holds or is deemed to hold through his direct or indirect holding of financial instruments falling within DTR 5.3.1R (1) (or a combination of such holdings) if the percentage of those voting rights: (1) reaches, exceeds or falls below 3%, 4%, 5%, 6%, 7%, 8%, 9%, 10% and each 1% threshold thereafter up to 100% | philanderer
29/11/2018 21:22 | Yes they did a swap, but Woodford can sell more and only needs to report if he goes below 5% | redartbmud
29/11/2018 19:57 | I think he still has a stake.. 14 September, 2018 LONDON (Alliance News) - Breedon Group PLC said Friday that Woodford Investment Management Ltd and Old Mutual Global Investors Ltd have made changes to their holdings in the company. Woodford lowered its stake in the construction material company to 6.83% from 11.12% while Old Mutual now owns a 5.14% interest in Breedon. | philanderer
29/11/2018 13:59 | I thought Woodford sold his position to Old Mutual in September? | konkel
29/11/2018 11:42 | True, but having a big overhang of shares doesn't help the cause. | redartbmud
29/11/2018 11:35 | BREE actually pretty well tracking the housebuilders shares for the last year. | philanderer

21/11/2018 14:45 | DAVY VIEW Breedon has delivered an in-line result in a difficult trading environment in the UK. This speaks to the strength of the group’s business model and management-driven initiatives to deliver value for shareholders. The Lagan deal and the strong market positions acquired further complement that approach. Our stock rating (‘Neutral&rsqu | philanderer
