27/1/2023 12:51 | Not posted here since IDP days but held a lot of those, the take over put me here. With a serious loss. This weeks RNs confirmed ship has stabilised so now we are moving again. Ive bought more dropped my average by 40% today so far. But only 30 mill in issue and a lot held tightly. Should see a big Re Rate ... | ace ventura11

04/1/2023 22:04 | There will be a cap on the liability increase - no doubt the deficit will reduce substantially as a result of the increase in interest rates. The cost increase goes for all players in the sector. | baner
04/1/2023 13:02 | But pension liabilities are linked to inflation and inflation is out-running interest rates..... so the gap is widening not reducing. Same applies to the cash they hold - yes it is going up but the cost of manufacturing and materials is outstripping this. At the same time consumerers are reducing spend and looking for lower shelf prices on indulgent discretionary goods - exactly the category that BAR sells......... I don't think the stars are aligning in a positive way........... | dipike
03/1/2023 20:04 | The pension deficit will be very significantly reduced thanks to the increasing interest rates - and these will also allow BA some income on their cash reserve. With a reduced pension problem this company is likely to be bid for during 2023. 50p+ is clearly achievable here. So risk/reward appears to be rather attractive. | baner
03/1/2023 16:00 | why is share price up | ali47fish
22/12/2022 15:12 | Back in today for an initial holding, yes there are issues but hopefully longer term value....... | chrisdgb
28/11/2022 23:08 | McDork needs to resign as should Piper as he was a drag through from IDP; that went well with him in the replacement exec team there. | chop50 |
