13/12/2021 12:43 | I agree that this was the most interesting of the 3 but even this doesn't take my fancy tbh. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but I've already got too many holdings to keep track of! I got my edition on time but when it's been late before, I've read the online version instead which I'd expect most people do? I do prefer reading the hard copy, given the choice though! | ![]() bull19
13/12/2021 11:39 | Thanks 1knocker. It is too hard to get them all. I thought this one was going to consolidate for abit before the move higher, but that sneaky 16:59 director shareholding news release appears to have turned the tide. Surprised this hasn't moved more for holders on the SCSW tip. That can clearly be said now... seen as well...yeah ^ :-) Interestingly all three main tips have had a very muted response. That is as benign as I can remember, folk are normally falling over themselves to buy. Quiet out there too... It doesn't look like anyone wants to make big moves. Maybe more jitters on what the Scientist's and their erm.."models" are saying to Disco Boris. Surely not another lockdown? Surely not another visit to U-turn City. Ooerr... The wait goes on. All imo DYOR | sphere25

12/12/2021 13:51 | For any potential investors in BMS, I would strongly advise viewing at least once the recent H1 presentation by the CEO & CFO of BMS on Investor Meet Company & taking notes. Then accompanied by recent trading updates from BMS & CKN, build your Bull & Bear Case to assess the opportunity & of course, risks as we move forward. I posted my fairly lengthy notes on a private site last week. Also just to be clear, I started building a position following that presentation and for now, will sit and wait for a potential rerating possible boosted by an acquisition or two as the deployment of the strategy unfolds. As ever, DYOR | ![]() whittler100
12/12/2021 13:08 | BMS is a main listing; not AIM. Subsector Transportation Services: Closest other company listed is Clarkson. | ![]() whittler100

10/12/2021 01:02 | Commiserations sphere. I topped up at 234, which seemed good when it had been pushing 300. I sat on my hands all that time it when it was becalmed, and then it dropped back below 200 after I had topped up at 234.... Hindsight is a wonderful thing! I did buy some Star Bulk Carriers though, before it went ex div - a significant consideration as the divi (paid quarterly) was 23%pa at the price I paid. Even after it went ex div today, I am still in the blue. A ship owner, and seems well managed. The div is artificially high at present of course, because of sky high shipping rates, but even if it halves it will be a nice little earner - and provides a bit of dollar exposure for diversification. If the price stays around current levels and sterling does not weaken unduly I shall probably buy bit more, as I have a lot of divis paying this month; whether covid continues to cause dislocation, or if it does not and world trade grows with a return to normality, shipping rates should remain pretty firm for a while. | ![]() 1knocker
09/12/2021 09:40 | As usual, strange that it's a tip that moves the share price rather than actual results. Most investors seem incapable of making their own assessments. | ![]() deadly

09/12/2021 08:32 | Great to see the CFO buying a decent £21,400 chunk of shares - if anyone knows how trading is going it's him. And he's normally the lowest paid exec director, often from a non-wealthy background, so the funds spent are more meaningful. And tipped on Master Investor too (cheers Tole). Looks like (hopefully) the seller has been cleared out and this ridiculous share price is now set to recover quickly. | ![]() rivaldo

08/12/2021 17:16 | And another modest director, CFO, purchase:- 8 December 2021 Director / PDMR Shareholding Braemar (LSE: BMS ), a leading international Shipbroker and provider of expert advice in shipping investment, chartering, risk management and logistics services , announces that it has received notification of the purchase of ordinary shares of 10p each in the capital of the Company ("Shares") by Nick Stone, Chief Financial Officer. Nick Stone bought 10,000 Shares at 214p per Share on 8 December 2021. Following this transaction, Nick Stone's total holding of Shares (including those of persons closely associated with him) is 10,000, equal to 0.03% of the Company's issued share capital. | ![]() cwa1
07/12/2021 13:58 | Great to see the CEO spending almost £50,000 on more shares. CKN's upwards revision yesterday should have flagged the potentially substantial upside here to many who've been on the sidelines. | ![]() rivaldo
07/12/2021 08:32 | That looks interesting. CEO sending a little signal that trading will continue to be strong and maybe even upgraded again? Price is clearly substantially off its highs and could form a bottom on that CEO buy. Selling overdone here? On the watchlist it goes. All imo DYOR | sphere25
07/12/2021 08:10 | 7 December 2021 Director / PDMR Shareholding Braemar (LSE: BMS ), a leading international Shipbroker and provider of expert advice in shipping investment, chartering, risk management and logistics services , announces that it has received notification of the purchase of ordinary shares of 10p each in the capital of the Company ("Shares") by James Gundy, Group Chief Executive Officer. James Gundy bought 23,000 Shares at 210p per Share on 3 December 2021. Following this transaction, James Gundy's total holding of Shares (including those of persons closely associated with him) is 657,436, equal to 2.04% of the Company's issued share capital. | ![]() cwa1
06/12/2021 07:53 | CKN's "ahead of expectations" RNS this morning notes that its broking and finance businesses have been performing "particularly well". This must surely reflect well on BMS's prospects too? Especially since BMS has been refocusing on these very same two divisions. | ![]() rivaldo

01/12/2021 00:41 | shipping rates have been elevated this year, but have softened recently. Star Bulk carriers is a low cost outfit worth looking at for those who want to diversify a bit within the sector. A ship owner rather than a broker. | ![]() 1knocker |
