07/1/2022 17:20 | If I right they are putting the dividend up by 4% a year for the next 5 years I believe. But they did drop it by 40% a couple of years ago. If inflation hits like they reckon it will we will get poorer. We can only wait and see! | veryniceperson
07/1/2022 16:29 | when the market gonna put a price on bp green assets? sure its worth more than £0.00 | hellscream
07/1/2022 16:27 | Still very low to where it has been. 4.00 and over should be more than reasonable with current oil prices. Would be nice to see another small dividend hike in the coming months to spur the price on. | longwell
07/1/2022 15:27 | BP have had a really good week. Up over 20p. The same next week fingers crossed. | veryniceperson
07/1/2022 06:00 | What should be important is the emissions of GHG (Co2) per unit of oil (or gas) produced rather than the absolute amount of CO2 released. Acquiring a "low" emission production asset should be encouraged, as should disposing of a higher emitter (which is probably on it's last legs anyway). When I worked in the industry more than 15 years ago, corporate KPI's targeted CO2/oil&gas, whilst asset KPI's were set to maximise production, emissions be dammed.. I would expect the entire business to be more closely aligned nowadays.. | steve73
06/1/2022 13:46 | "BP Pulse and Charge Your Car, also BP owned, have been rated among the worst public electric vehicle charging networks in the UK in a Zap-Map survey." | spacecake

06/1/2022 11:26 | scoobbydoo99, BP have a 15.9% shareholding in AkerBP, which has just enlarged it's future carbon emissions through the merger with Lundin petroleum. I'm struggling with BP's goal of reducing oil & gas production by 40% by 2030 while at the same time part funding the expansion of AkerBP as a minority owner. | spacecake
06/1/2022 11:08 | Hope you will get it this time. https://mobile.twitt | time for common sense
06/1/2022 09:44 | Spacecake - I'm struggling to see your issue, you need to focus on the detail not the headlines, Egypt is gas (see BP gas and low carbon website) and Aker BP is an entirely separate company to BP, Aker BP have their own energy sustainability and environmental plans. | scoobydoo99
06/1/2022 09:33 | Perhaps Looney has at last realised that the money is in oil and gas and the green stuff is good as an 'extra'... Pricess Nut Nuts won't be very happy about it, and certainly not Greta the saviour of the world, she will be very annoyed. Maybe she will be taking a fast jet to air her views around the world! | optomistic

06/1/2022 09:19 | Summer 2020, BP plans to cut oil and gas production by 40 percent over the next decade to help meet its net-zero emissions goal by 2050, it said it will slash production by at least 1 million barrels per day by 2030. In the last few weeks we have heard, ... “We welcome and support this proposed acquisition, which will strengthen and significantly enhance the long-term future of Aker BP and our continuing relationship with Aker" Bernard Looney, group chief executive Now Egypt exploration expansion. The executive are moving in the wrong direction in the same year that the UK government hold the COP 26 presidency, just seems to be the same old business as usual. | spacecake
