21/7/2017 21:42 | Three years old now and certainly not worthless. Infact it's depreciated less than a petrol/diesel. And cost a hell of a lot less to run, not to mention pollution free. | strutt12
21/7/2017 18:27 | That means the car you sell 2nd hand will be worthless as most of the cost is that battery. I think i'll wait as long as l can before l abandon petrol and let the early adapters pay for R&D to the point where electric cars actually make sense. | smurfy2001
21/7/2017 18:12 | Car will be replaced before the battery. | strutt12
21/7/2017 14:20 | And what about the power stations to supply levy for all those cars? Oh it will just be available on tap | wolansm
21/7/2017 12:25 | strutt12, might be now but in future? Don't forget the battery replacement years down the line. | smurfy2001

21/7/2017 11:09 | Pinapple1, That's how it happens now, leave home with a full charge only need to use charging stations for long journeys. I can't see an electricity tax, I supply my own electricity when the sun shines ;-) | strutt12
21/7/2017 10:46 | apfindley I can sell you some used "Mono Poly" currency if you are interested? | prambigear
21/7/2017 10:21 | So does this tax apply in the home and on the forecourt. I doubt peeps will be pleased that they'll be paying tax on their toaster so that somebody can smoke around in an electric car. With the focus on rising energy bills via both Cons and Lab i'm all ears how they are going to sell this new electric tax to people who are already complaining about the cost. If it applies to forecourts only then peeps will charge at home and only use forecourts in emergency. Its a bit easier to recharge at home than it is to refine 50L of unleaded in the front room.Try and stop that if you can which still leaves the small problem of £27B to find..... | pineapple1
20/7/2017 23:42 | PB Absolutely. Sometimes people just don't understand taxation. They have to get it somewhere. Amazing. | veryniceperson
20/7/2017 21:46 | Electricity tax? | prambigear
20/7/2017 21:38 | £27b per yr in fuel duty. Thats a lot of money for the UK govt to find if electric becomes popular. Its one of the largest revenue sources. | pineapple1

20/7/2017 17:05 | Good afternoon Bracke, pleased you have called in to see the forgotten shareholders of BP. I did see about the BP 'sale' but also I saw that BP had denied they were going to sell the North Sea assets. Will have to see which is the latest 'release'. In the meantime you could pop in occasionally and work you elite guru magic in here, pleased it has worked OK for you in the rental company :-) | optomistic
