I completely agree, looks like they are bleeding them dry before any approval. Don't like it one bit. Expect a cheap sale or this will be bought out of bankruptcy. Last time I invest in Africa.

This story looks very fishy. Almost like the delay in approval of the Perenco / New Age stake purchase is deliberate so as to ensure a fire sale of bowleven.One thing is sure: Africa is not a continent for business

Agreed but Gabon and Niger coups don't add to stability in region. Always something with this one so I hope doesn't impact.

Paris-based independent Perenco has signed a production-sharing contract (PSC) for the offshore Rio del Rey Basin and says it expects progress on approval of its acquisition of New Age's interest in the Etinde gas field project.A month ago and this languishes. Surely there will be news soon?

Be that as it may, BLVN, Fundamentals remain the same, the true Lukoil position as stated previous. Lukoil is as influential as this BB.

Nothing more than a tree shake, MM`s know the Volume will increase Dramatically following the decisive RNS. Therefore look for weak holders.

Lukoil did not exercise their pre-emption rights last year when Perenco bid for the New Age stake.

And since Lukoil is not the actual operator, its involvement is not affected by the sanctions. New Age is the current operator, soon to be replaced by Perenco.

Yes, the $25 million payment is just for FID ( Final Investment Decision ) on Etinde. It comes from the other two Joint venture partners, currently New Age and Lukoil but probably very soon Perenco and Lukoil. BowLeven would need to be paid more on top of that to sell part or all of their 25% stake in the project.
