31/12/2019 21:44 | Agree, The Record date is always after the Ex date. | gbh2
31/12/2019 20:56 | True, that line looks crystal clear. But if the record date is 2 Jan at 6pm, I can’t see how 3 Jan 8 am is ex bonus. For example, if I bought bvs at 4pm on 2 Jan, they would not meet the record day of 6pm that day, therefore I’d miss my bonus and then get hit by ex the morning after. I’m obviously being a bit thick here, but I’ve never seen ex day after record day. Makes no sense to me! | dasty1
31/12/2019 18:41 | Not sure why posters are confused on ex-date for bonus shares. It's crystal clear in the announcement of 7 November. Scroll down to bottom and under Expected Timetable of Events and it shows that the ex-date is 3 January. | grahamburn
31/12/2019 17:20 | I find it astonishing that sh’s, like me, don’t know if it has gone ex-bonus today or not! I’m assuming not, based on share price today. It should really be 3-4% down if ex. | dasty1
31/12/2019 10:10 | mmm, the ex bonus date is rather confusing, The comment: "Bovis Homes Group will trade ex-entitlement to the bonus issue with its shares increased accordingly" Is in the paragraph headed "Friday 03 January 2020 (from market open):" If the 3rd is the record date then today would be ex date given that today and the 2nd would be two settlement days? Not an issue for me as I've nowhere to put the cash, not to mention it's also in a negative state atm. | gbh2
31/12/2019 09:40 | Sorry for double post. The app froze and wasn't sure if the first post worked! | highlands
31/12/2019 09:38 | I don't believe they are ex bonus share entitlement yet. From my understanding that will happen on 3rd Jan with those holding at close of 2nd Jan entitled. | highlands
31/12/2019 09:36 | I don't believe they are ex bonus entitlement yet. That will happen on 3rd Jan as far as I'm aware and holders until close of 2nd Jan will be entitled. | highlands
31/12/2019 09:29 | Thank you, Getting better by the day. I only purchased these because I couldn't quickly find anywhere else to put my profits from the Boris bounce :) | gbh2
31/12/2019 09:16 | See RNS 7 Nov As included in the announcement dated 10 September 2019, Bovis Homes today announces that, conditional upon completion of the Acquisition ("Completion"), rather than pay the expected special dividend of £60 million, it will return value to shareholders by way of a bonus issue (the "Bonus Issue") settled at Completion through the issue of 5,665,723 ordinary shares of £0.50 each in the capital of the Company ("Shares") to shareholders on the Company's register of members as at 6.00 p.m. on 2 January 2020. This will include holders of the Placing Shares but exclude recipients of the Consideration Shares | jaf111
31/12/2019 08:16 | What's "ex bonus?" | gbh2
31/12/2019 08:11 | Asking myself the same question😀 Answer - I think so but certainly not sure🤔 In reality not so bothered since have no plans to sell today....... Happy New Year / Decade! | jaf111
31/12/2019 07:55 | Are we ex bonus today? | dasty1
24/12/2019 10:20 | For any other newbie: | gbh2
24/12/2019 10:19 | Thank you firtashia, I'm New here, nice to have caught a dividend unintentionally, even if I do have to wait half a year for payment :) Now where's that rns (rhetorical) | gbh2
24/12/2019 09:52 | gbh2- yes, see the RNS from 10th December. Have to wait 5 months for payment though- what's that about? | firtashia
24/12/2019 09:10 | I cannot find any indication of there even being a dividend atm? | gbh2
24/12/2019 08:37 | Xd41p today ; unusual day to go Xd. | wad collector
16/12/2019 18:10 | I don't have any BVS shares..Oh yes you do.. ..well GFRD shares at mo'. ;-) Given new year, new budgets for industry/employees and Brexit/election haze lifting, a con majority too, all bodes well for the market as a whole, aside from stronger pound potentially a negative for exporters. BVS specific I believe a key part of the GFRD (Linden) acquisition was to bring some of the quality across to cover their weak spot... though that's already likely priced in, but any comment in trade update on changes in the combined entity should go down well. IMO :-) Dave | dr_smith
16/12/2019 17:29 | Can't see £15 before Trading Update - due 15/1/20. But I could be wrong - often am! | plunger2
16/12/2019 09:59 | Looks like the market has woken with enthusiasm this Monday morning ; £15 by New Year? | wad collector
14/12/2019 09:49 | Yes - a good outcome for BVS. I notice Peel Hunt upped their TP to 1420 on 9 Dec. - good timing there. Would expect things to quieten down now for a bit - but you never know. | plunger2 |
