13/12/2019 12:00 | The definitive election result has indeed taken the share price a fair bit higher. ATH approaching £14 in fact. | wad collector
27/11/2019 20:25 | Yes - a nice move here. Probably helped by Cannacord upping the TP to 1260. Any sort of definitive election result and we could go a fair bit higher. But patience is really the name of the game here. | plunger2
27/11/2019 16:30 | ATH in sight now ; all we need is a definitive election result , closure over brexit and fine weather all winter.. | wad collector
09/11/2019 19:04 | Also happy with deal and as you say steady capital growth and dividend. | spcecks
08/11/2019 17:13 | Looks to me like BVS has got a decent deal - irrespective of the election results. Greg Fitz knows Linden backwards. Not looking for fireworks - just steady capital growth + divis | plunger2
07/11/2019 14:44 | Looks like we're moving into the top 5 housebuilders! | mikealig
11/10/2019 13:41 | New one year high today ; I wonder if BVS should really be valued at 10% more than yesterday on the basis of a few politicians vague optimism. | wad collector
28/9/2019 20:35 | GFRD will remain a listed company. Bvs only buying the house building arm. And, as it stands, gfrd which will remain is currently priced at less than 0p, believe it or not. | dasty1
27/9/2019 14:19 | Not quite that simple , BVS holders will get this years special in the form of shares (Which further dilute the holdings so not really a dividend) but I don't get what you mean by a free GFRD share; they will become BVS. | wad collector
20/9/2019 19:06 | If anyone here interested in buying bvs shares then stop. Go and buy yourself GFRD shares. You’ll get your bvs shares cheaper there, and get yourself a free gfrd construction share! All true....unless you think the gfrd deal will not go through. | dasty1
19/9/2019 05:42 | As a GFRD holder, sad to see the company potentially being sold to BVS on the cheap, just as things appear to be moving after the problems with the construction side dragged the share price down. Even the increased price offered undervalues the house building side of GFRD but then I suppose on the other hand, it does make the combined group stronger in the long run. | warranty
13/9/2019 13:02 | I see the new offer is £300M more than last time and that the GFRD share price went up much more than BVS when the news leaked earlier this week. It fell back but is still 15% up on the week in contrast to BVS which is about 8% up on the week. Just been looking at their recent balance sheets ; similar figures to here. | wad collector
10/9/2019 09:28 | Very upbeat statement happy to hold and will add on any weakness. | spcecks
10/9/2019 07:55 | Bovis are clearly overpaying for Galliford, at a time when taking on additional debt seems risky | inki
06/9/2019 12:56 | Still puzzled as to why an EPS of £1 does not justify a higher price when strong medium term outlook. Yes there are uncertainties , but demand remains high and somehow doubt millions will leave the UK post Brexit or whatever. | wad collector
09/7/2019 20:39 | 9 July 2019 BOVIS HOMES GROUP PLC Strong first half performance Bovis Homes Group PLC (the 'Group') is issuing a trading update for the six month period ended 30 June 2019 ahead of reporting its half year results on 10 September 2019. Greg Fitzgerald, Chief Executive commented: "I am very pleased to report an excellent first half performance across the Group and in particular, a significant improvement in profitability, a strong cash position and a step up in our sales rate compared to the same period last year. We have had another controlled period, focused on delivering high quality homes and we are currently trending at a 5-star HBF customer satisfaction rating. We start the second half with a strong forward sales position and expect to deliver an improved performance in 2019." Surprised there wasn't more of a share price reaction to a strong statement; if you look at the full update there seem no ifs , buts or maybes. Perhaps no mention of any more specials? Looking at the fundamentals , this company made an EPS of 102p last year and looks like making more this yr. Why is it languishing at £10? | wad collector
