Kind of like what CS did for EUA, to where it is now. Almost 1 billion pound market cap.

I can see it happen very soon. My opinion is that from all their royalties from their explorations, it should go into developing producing actual diamond mines or open pits. Proceeds from Marange, marsfontein dump, all in the hotpot. Then JT can finally be a diamond producer. JMO. Any takes on this.

November should be an interesting time for Bods and possibly exciting?

Thanks Georgeo, don't forget it isn't just the Botswana/Kalahari stuff but also the whole Thorny River/Marsfontein prospect (hopefully yielding results quite soon), and also things seem to be starting to happen in Zimbabwe where BOD is well positioned to benefit from possible jv projects.

Yep I just corrected myself - see above! - I had just been having a look at Ghaghoo so Gem was on my mind.
Any thoughts on 1) whether we may see some geo results this week and 2) talking of Petra and its shares, whether it’s safe to go in yet, Jim?

It's Gem Diamonds who are selling us KX36 in Botswana. They have indeed been divesting some assets, they are also trying to sell Ghaghoo Mine. Now that WOULD be interesting - it's a monster - which they spent $90m+ on only to close it down pretty much straight away, and a sale last year to local interests (for $5m!) apparently fell through.
Petra meanwhile has just agreed a (still to be ratified) refinancing and capital restructuring with its lenders which will enable it to remain in business. Not great for shareholders (90% dilution) but better than the alternative. When you say 'divesting assets' do you mean sale of 5 blue diamonds next month reckoned to fetch $50-70m? Be nice if BOD could find a few of those!

Between Vast in Zimbabwe, Petra in Botswana and Vutomi in South Africa there are a few balls in the air. Something will emerge - preferably another ak6.

I think once Petra is out of its debt restructuring, it might just partner with BOD with technology and machinery. JMO.

Sekaka Diamonds (Pty) Limited (Sekaka) is Petra's wholly owned operating subsidiary in Botswana.Sekaka holds diamond prospecting licences in Botswana covering approximately 22,250km2, all of which are "on craton" (areas underlain by ancient, thickened continental crust, known to host economic primary diamond deposits) and Petra/Sekaka operate a highly focused and cost effective exploration programme in country. The kimberlite KX36 is situated in the Kukama East project area, in the south east extremity of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve.

The acquisition of the KX36 diamond discovery, together with two prospecting licences and a diamond processing plant from Petra Diamonds, affords Botswana Diamonds its first classified diamond resource. The KX36 kimberlite, which MD James Campbell believes to be the most significant diamond discovery in Botswana since Orapa and Jwaneng, not only gives Botswana Diamonds a quick route to possible production, but also adds scale to the junior exploration company's Sunland and Maibwe JV properties in the Kalahari Desert. The transaction includes a bulk sampling plant at the KX36 site.Petra has already undertaken a significant amount of core drilling at KX36.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=

Petra Diamonds sells Botswana assets for $0.3m plus royalty20 July 2020, 07:16Source - SMWGem miner Petra Diamonds said it had agreed to sell its exploration assets in Botswana to Botswana Diamonds for $300m, plus royalties. The sale was agreed via Petra Diamonds' holding in Sekaka Diamonds Exploration. The royalty was 5% on future diamond revenues, should any of the prospects within the exploration licences be brought into production. The sale was subject to a number of regulatory approvals, including ministerial consent in Botswana, approval from Petra's lenders and noteholders and, to the extent required, approval from the Botswana Competition Commission. 'This disposal forms part of our strategy to focus on driving efficiencies from our high quality producing mines, but allows us to maintain upside to potential future commercial production from the Botswana assets, particularly from the KX36 deposit,' chief executive Richard Duffy said.Future commercial production.

From VAST. While progress at BPPM is on track, there has been a delay in finalisation of the joint venture agreement with Government owned Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (Pvt) Ltd ("ZCDC"), which, amongst other matters, will enable the Group and our other Zimbabwean stakeholders to procure a Special Grant for the exploration, development, and mining of the Concession. As stated in the Strategic Report, we remain confident that we will conclude an agreement and our expectation is that this will occur once Covid-19 lock-down measures are lifted in Zimbabwe.

From VAST news today regarding Chiadzwa. Revised an existing agreement with Botswana Diamonds PLC ("BOD") resulting in BOD acquiring a 2.5% interest in the cashflows generated from Vast's share in the Concession. In consideration for this interest BOD will provide know-how for all aspects of exploration, mining, processing and marketing in relation to the Concession.
