The troll is out again with a spectacular non comprehension of the diamond exploration business. Best ignored in what is a personal vendetta against jt and the board.

You're right about Petra Fenners - but it had burdened itself with massive debt which it couldn't service when the market turned down. It is in the middle of on-going restructuring of a huge chunk ($300m+ of a total of $600m+) of the debt into equity whereby equity holders are going to be diluted almost into oblivion (though in fairness it's better for them than the alternative). Their situation is incomparable to anything BOD needs to do or raise to get any of its projects into production, which would likely be project-based and very small in comparison.

The diamond market is showing signs of recovery. Like much in life, it'll come down to timing - when fund raising is required, the market is likely to be much improved - imo

One of the best diamond co's in the world just announced its results

Petra Diamonds Limited announces its final results (audited) for the year ended
30 June 2020

Net loss after tax of US$223.0 million

Revenue down 36%
Adjusted EBITDA down 58%
Operational cash outflow of US$12.3 million
prices were still down around 10% in comparison to pre-COVID-19 levels.

Not that a real life diamond producer has anything to do with BOD - but that is the backdrop to the funding requests that (whether they find anything or not) are inevitable for BOD.

It is the best diamond exploration play in the game. There is nothing that comes close to their portfolio - the probability is weighing towards striking something big.

Were we shareholders expecting a return of new shares of the newly formed company once we get started in zimbawe.

I see James ready to drill,
Should see picture of rig anytime,
Then bit into the ground,
Then pictures of core,
Then ........
Happy days all round.

Yes just imagine that AK6 was sold off cheap not realising the value it could have held. Back then AFD did not have subterrane with their magic. Now I'm thinking they could make not 20 times the investment but more, that was a long time ago. Considering that they still have 1. Thorny 2. Marsfontein 3. Maiwbe 4. Kalahari 5. KX36 6. Marange 7. Brownfield not to mention the smaller licences. Just incredible achievement this time round and JT and JC could actually own a mine like karowe. ( their previous AK6 when AFD).

It's certainly looking like they're going to do it again. Perhaps they'll keep it longer and extract greater value this time (although Lucara was a fun ride).

6 months ago with the diamond market in the mire, this was looking like the least exciting of my holdings, it's now looking like the most exciting.

Sekaka also holds a recently constructed, fit-for-purpose bulk sampling plant on site. The sampling plant includes crushing, scrubbing, dense media separation circuits and x-ray recovery modules within a secured area.Just the processing equipment alone is worth more than the deal of KX36 jmo.
