I think not chapchip as the last release of this nature sent us tumbling! Then again if it's JT's desire to bring no value to BOD's many holders then may be! We all know that exploitation is a risky business with fantastic upsides if there is success I just wish that we could get an update on what's important at the moment Brightstone?!....... we now have 4 sets of results to wait for the latest of which is set for mid Jan which we know are all funded. The unexplored nature of this latest drill makes it very very exciting! With the price this low its worth topping up! GLA

chapchip - you are not suggesting that they have started a media blitz - a kind of smoke and mirrors campaign to deflect from what could ve bad news? surely not? : )

do we think the lack of news or other fronts and the RNS'ing of new drilling is to offset the probability of there being nothing good to report from previous efforts ?

Tough conditions to work under. Results expected in approximately 12 weeks.

.........This licence is a top priority target for the Botswana Diamonds/Alrosa joint venture and the drilling programme is targeting new kimberlites. It was selected in separate studies by BOD and by Alrosa geologists as having significant potential and it has never previously been drilled. Intensive soil sampling and electromagnetic studies have identified anomalies in the geology.

RNS - Kalahari Desert drilling started...........No mining companies have ventured here before to undertake drilling programmes. And yet the preliminary geochemical and geophysical indicators are strongly positive. We are at the cutting edge of diamond exploration and are cautiously optimistic of finding kimberlites."________________________________________________________________________________ _

I agree with you D! News is overdue now from out Brightstone 15% and we now have 2 sets of results to come by years end from the JV. Now is a good time to buy at these low pre news prices! One bit of positive news could catapult this into the stratosphere ! GLA

A rise on low volume. Is a decent buy in the background or have they just run out of the cheap stock they picked up from those jumping ship on the last rns. That was a nuisance but not significant enough to justify that drop as far as I am concerned.

How much longer before we get news of the below?Botswana Diamonds PLC Update - Maibwe Diamonds (Brightstone)Source: UK Regulatory (RNS & others)TIDMBODRNS Number : 6667XBotswana Diamonds PLC09 May 20169(th) May 2016Botswana Diamonds PLC("Botswana Diamonds" or the "Company")Update - Maibwe Diamonds (Brightstone)The Board of Botswana Diamonds are pleased to announce that a Large Diameter Drilling (LDD) programme will commence shortly on PL 186 which is part of the Maibwe (Brightstone) block of licences in the Gope Region of Botswana. Botswana Diamonds owns 15% of Maibwe Diamonds and has a free carried interest in the project up to Bankable Feasibility Study.Maibwe Diamonds is a privately-held company controlled by BCL (51%) a state-owned copper and nickel producer in Botswana. BCL is the operator. The planned LDD drilling for macro diamond evaluation, to be undertaken by Maibwe Diamonds, is to follow up on diamond drilling conducted in 2015 on PL 186 which found a number of diamondiferous kimberlites. The LDD drilling is to confirm the 2015 results and gain a clearer understanding of the grade and size frequency distribution of diamonds. Work on the other licences within the Maibwe block is also planned. The area is deemed highly prospective for diamond discoveries. In 2013 Botswana Diamonds signed a joint venture with Brightstone Mining on the block. BCL subsequently took over the block in 2015 and created Maibwe Diamonds. Botswana Diamonds retains a 15% position in Maibwe Diamonds. This project is completely separate from the Botswana Diamonds/Alrosa joint venture. There exists already one producing diamond mine in Gope, namely the Ghaghoo mine owned by Gem Diamonds.John Teeling, Chairman, commented "We now know there are diamonds on PL 186. The upcoming drilling is to establish the grade and quality."_______________________________________________________________________________ __This release has been approved by Benjamin Mosigi, MSc (Mineral Exploration and Mining Geology), who is a member of the Geological Society of South Africa.___________________________________________________________________________ ______Enquiries: Botswana Diamonds PLC John Teeling, Chairman +353 1 833 2833 Jim Finn, Director Dipti Mehta Northland Capital Partners Limited David Hignell/Gerry Beaney (Corporate Finance) +44 (0) 203 861 6625 John Howes (Broking) Dowgate Capital Stockbrokers Limited Jason Robertson +44 (0) 129 351 7744 Blytheweigh +44 (0) 207 138 3204 Camilla Horsfall +44 (0) 781 784 1793 PSG Plus Colm Heatley +353 (0) 1 661 4055 Alan Tyrrell +353 (0) 1 661 4055 www.botswanadiamonds.co.ukThis information is provided by RNSThe company news service from the London Stock ExchangeENDMSCFKLFBQEFFBBD(END) Dow Jones NewswiresMay 09, 2016 07:19 ET (11:19 GMT)
