Hey Clinton, is this what you meant the other day with your comment about developments elsewhere? You got us all interested for a moment! Some serious cash there! It has to be a current producer surely? Debeers, Lucara or maybe Alrosa? It goes to support JT's view that we at BOD are active in the best and most prosperous Diamond land in the world! Good things to come here for 2017...........

That's serious money for a straightforward equity placing. I wonder who participated.

I have added a few here when funds have allowed and topped up on the recent lows at Luc. Was not expecting such a savage fall back there. Lundin won't have been buying on a bad outlook.

I can only imagine the discussion that took place to entice him back, "yes sir we have Diamonds and we were so pleased with your handling of AFD we'd like you to come back and do it again! Not just the once this time but 2,3 or maybe even 4 times, as a signing on bonus we'll give you 3 million shares at the current sell price but now you know what really is to come you'll know they will be worth £4,500,000+ in the next 12 month.......Happy days GLA

For the record Pet (went from 4p to 1.60 plus), AFD and Cooley were the companies that I gained most from and I invest in small AIM companies which were generally off the radar. If you get one good one it will make up for 10 poor/bad ones. I normally do not invest large sums and understand that there is an element of gambling. There is of course an element of gambling/risk in most things that we do regarding investing. Look at how pensions funds have performed and with some companies taking 1.5% to maybe lose 20% of our capital in a year. All one has to do is to look at what happened to many folk who bought new homes to see the value halved, yet they had to continue to pay a mortgage on the full amount. What I liked about JT was that he took no salary from his companies unlike many of his peers who raided their AIM companies taking 500k + salaries.

If it was opinion or ranting maybe, but its not , 4 companies with a decade of track record to examine, as printed in endless reports.

I go back to finding out via these boards that (originally) PET were not a standalone company, then surprise that there were these links to others , then finding out they all did the same thing, talked raised equity, spent it , wrote it off and did it again.

And again....

Before investing I wanted to know that..... others may too.

fenners.....you are so anti clontarf its laughable.

AIM is strewn with numerous businesses that have failed or will fail.....even the FTSE has them.

you just take an opportunity to bash.......time will tell if you are right, but as Elmfield said, I ve done more than alright in in AFD, so this is largely a free carry

Well,
I read the annual report today,
I liked it, there are quite a few irons in the fire.
Actually I reckon the risk is well worth the possible reward,
Did O.K in Afd.
