If you read the LSE BB, they all think that a sale or farmout is around the corner. They also say that the chairman Harry Dobson is subscribing for £450k because he's not a director and not bound by a closed period, and wouldn't be doing it if there was not good news coming, where as the other directors aren't taking part in the fundraise because they can't as they are in a closed period. I somehow think that's not quite right myself, but everyone has a different slant on these things.

If shareholders dont take it up the company is effectively finished unless some mugs want to buy it.

I can't decide whether today's fundraising is a good thing or a bad thing.. no other directors taking part? why? and seems like no further progress made on farmout. What if shareholders don't take up the open offer? Is Harry going to step in?

So are they saying that the shareholders will be receiving 1 share for every 7 they currently hold?

No way this should be top of the leader board. Only due to widened spread.
Bid 1.2p - TFL I was selling at 1.85 on Tuesday.

Keeps the lights on and pays the board for doing nothing while BOR waits to see if RKH gets Sea Lion off the ground and if it ever does then wait a bit more to see if there is any interest in BOR's assets.

Argos will be doing something similar fairly soon I guess but Argos has sweet FA. At least BOR has a few crumbs.

Yes, the fact the Chairman is buying ALL the new shares here can only be good .He knows which way this is going.

Just goes to show how much of a non entity this share has become. More interested in the Island bird population than in the chances of this dog ever achieving anything. Quite right though. Waste of space.

To add onto what whoppy has said, and just so you know, the Islands are home to the world’s largest breeding populations of Black-browed Albatross and Southern Giant Petrel, as well as significant concentrations of Gentoo Penguin and Southern Rockhopper Penguin. Probably many of you didn't know that, especially whoppy.

Just so you know why the Falklands are so important. It's the gateway from the South Pacific Ocean into the Atlantic. The British control the gateway with super sensitive listening devices strung across the ocean floor from Falklands to South Georgia. It can pick up the sound of submarines entering the Atlantic. It's a very strategic military island, which is mainly why the British defended it. The Russian subs can't move around in the Atlantic without being detected. They would like to cut the transatlantic sea cables.
