Don't be daft. No outlandish demands anywhere. Just hard numbers. It's not a case of over negotiating your position or under negotiating the asset. Everybody knows the prize is huge. It means a deal is available, but it takes time. The share price moves on stages of the deal. It goes up as some in the know believe they are nearer to the finish line and so buy the stock before the news lands. When the news is not ready they stop buying. Obvious they are not completely in the know, but know enough. Patience.

I sit on the fence there is no interest at moment so I am guessing there was some, and yet again, Borders got greedy with their outlandish demands. Its a recurent theme for them as they dont seem to realise that "what something is worth" isnt what someone will necessarily pay for something. Big Difference - Huge
Hopefully they can go back to the previous source of the interest and admit they're mistake but I am not holding my breath.

Just looked in and the interest in this dog is overwhelming. 2 1/2 hrs in and 440 shares traded. What does the bod do all day ?, talk to all these interested parties or play golf. Should all be playing off scratch by now.

I've been a holder since the Darwin discovery. Know all about the history. To be in talks with multiple partners is a real turnaround. The last time they had interest, commercial discussions were being agreed. All the oil companies know what Borders has. They wouldn't be bothering with talks unless they wanted to do a deal. Past years of no interest tells us the oil companies now want to discuss a deal.

It's been sinking for 10 years Whoppsy but hasnt quite sunk in. This must be the worst performing bod in the FI and that takes a bit of doing. Never really say anything of interest but only "different partners" & other meaningless stuff to SH's. Very poor. How long you been a holder Whoppsy ? Suspect not too long otherwise the enthusiasm would have been kicked out of you by now.

Partner's plural, so talking with more than one. Not dependent on just one negotiation. Different partners have different strategies and needs to suit their business. Either way, Darwin no longer being ignored. Huge money to be made for anyone doing a deal and they know it.
