U.S. lawyer, Yasin Almadini representing the Plaintiffs, speaking recently to the California media stated:

“We've presented hard evidence that Mahmud Kamani is the architect and major driver of the fraudulent pricing schemes Boohoo Group is using to deceive its U.S. customers, and thus far, the court has found the evidence compelling".

“We still intend to conduct a thorough cross-examination and ultimately we shall hold Mahmud Kamani and his companies accountable for deceiving U.S. consumers with fake sales and false pricing schemes.”

Olivia Lee v. NastyGal.com USA, Inc

Damages being sought against Boohoo, PrettyLittleThing and NastyGal of U.S. $100 Million

In the previous Court Order dated 28th July 2021, the Honourable JOHN E. MCDERMOTT, UNITED STATES MAGISTRATE JUDGE, ordered Boohoo PLC Chairman, Mahmud Kamani to provide deposition evidence (under Oath) on or before 15th August 2021 by videoconference.

Mahmud Kamani's deposition was intended to be limited to just 4 hours and to matters relating specifically to class certification, including Mahmud Kamani’s personal knowledge and involvement in Boohoo’s reference pricing, fake discounts and markdown practices at the three Boohoo Group U.S. websites.

However, following a last-minute appeal by Boohoo’s U.S. Defence Lawyers in California to delay Mahmud Kamani’s Deposition and Testimony, the U.S. Federal Court has now Ordered that both Parties shall agree and confer a specific date for the Deposition and that date must now be set by 15th September 2021.

The Federal Court has this week "reminded" Boohoo's U.S. Defence Lawyers that if an acceptable date is not agreed, for Mr Kamani to give his testimony under Oath by 15th September 2021, then the Court will order the date, itself.
