Consumer Protection is much stronger in the U.S.A than in the U.K. and eventually just watch the flood gates open across the rest of North America in all other 49 U.S. states.

Damages being sought against Boohoo, PrettyLittleThing and NastyGal of U.S. $100 Million

U.S. Lawyers, Yasin Almadani and Ahmed Ibrahim representing the named Plaintiffs (and thousands of other dissatisfied U.S. customers that are also members of these Class Action lawsuits) allege that Boohoo PLC and its U.S. subsidiaries have engaged in deceptive marketing practices in violation of California’s Unfair Competition Law, Cal. Bus. & Profs. Code § 17200, False Advertising Law, Cal. Bus. & Profs. Code § 17500, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, Cal. Civ. Code § 1750 and fraud, fraudulent concealment and unjust enrichment, to the detriment of U.S. consumers.

In the previous Court Order dated 28th July 2021, the Honourable JOHN E. MCDERMOTT, UNITED STATES MAGISTRATE JUDGE, ordered Boohoo PLC Chairman, Mahmud Kamani to provide deposition evidence (under Oath) on or before 15th August 2021 by videoconference.

Kamani's deposition was intended to be limited to just 4 hours and to matters relating specifically to class certification, including Mahmud Kamani’s personal knowledge and involvement in Boohoo’s reference pricing, fake discounts and markdown practices at the three Boohoo Group U.S. websites.

However, following a last-minute appeal by Boohoo’s U.S. Defence Lawyers in California to delay Mahmud Kamani’s Deposition and Testimony, the U.S. Federal Court has now Ordered that both Parties shall agree and confer a specific date for the Deposition and that date must now be set by 15th September 2021.

Having only TEMPORARILY delayed the inevitable evidence giving, Mahmud Kamani’s Court Deposition is now set to occur sometime in October 2021.

THIS UNEXPECTED DELAY TO PROCEEDINGS, ADVERSELY IMPACTS ON BOOHOO, BY GIVING U.S. CLASS ACTION LAWYERS, YASIN ALMADANI and AHMED IBRAHIM MORE TIME TO CONTINUE “CONDUCTING DISCOVERY” AND TO SUBMIT FURTHER EVIDENCE AGAINST BOOHOO AND PRETTYLITTLETHING AND NASTYGAL.

The article states - "It's a pleasure to note that insiders (Directors of Boohoo) spent UK£1.5m buying boohoo group shares, over the last year, without reporting any share sales whatsoever".

This statement is both factually misleading and inaccurate.

The truth is: Boohoo's Chief Executive John Lyttle recently sold his personal Boohoo shares at 321.6p each
