Genises: it’s money we are talking about. Your money. What good is reporting to authorities? It’s your cash that’s been funding a scam, a Ponzi scam, a Mercer scam, a 6* globetrotting luxury lifestyle scam, Bentley and (I now hear) a Range Rover on his drive paid by BNN. A £15k per month Mayfair apt for Mercer and his model Mrs (not quite, the suspension stopped that wedding scam of 70 people at S. France) paid by BNN. This whole episode came about coz the ex FD resigned leaving accusations against Mercer and Qui. Qui cleared by PwC investigation. Mercer not. New HK role. NOT. Then the loan/bonus debacle. Then an enquiry (never seen the light of day), then NOMAD resigns, and still no trading updates. Last day (or beyond) a bland no-detail RNS kicking into long grass. No apology, no names, no money update, nothing. No mention of cash reserves. Nothing. It’s a Mercer lifestyle scheme pure and simple. And still u lot live in hope. You lot need to call a Nurse. Grow a pair and get to his pub and demand money back or detail or or or etc......Honestly, I give up.........

From the IG Index:

What happens if the stock I am trading delists?

If you have an open position on a stock that delists, we’ll close your position at a level of zero and typically open a new position – called a ‘proceeds line’ – on your behalf which is untradeable, has no price and brings no value to your account. Once the company confirms there is no return to shareholders, which can take years, we will close your proceeds line position at the level of zero.

However, we won’t start this procedure as soon as a company announces it is delisting. The stock status will first need to be reviewed by our corporate actions and risk departments.

In my view the corporate actions and risks department would not do anything until the value of any deal is known. If BNN shareholders are offered a straight cash amount for their shares then this price would be used to settle Long or Short positions. If BNN shareholders are offered new US shares in exchange for their BNN shares then IG would work out the equivalent position in the US shares and provided they were traded on an exchange that they covered, the position (Long or Short) would remain as before. Wipeout would only occur (and Shorters paid in full) when the company is effectively declared bankrupt and the company confirms there is no return for shareholders.

I'm Long BNN. I don't believe the company will be sold for a negligible amount. Why would DM and the large shareholders accept this. They don't hold a material position in the listed USD companies so don't stand to gain from a fire sale. There is significant value still in the company and if the 2 USD companies are competing with each for the business then hopefully we will get a deal well above 42p.

Just my view but i'm more optimistic about the end result than at anytime since the suspension.

The company as we know has between £7-14 million cash plus asset sale
Once the assets sales have been completed the company will be a cash shell company.
The assets must be worth a bit as the CEO has said the sale will substantial enhance shareholders value.
The company will do one of the below.
Give the cash back to the shareholders or complete a reverse takeover of another company who require funding.
I would think the reverse takeover would happen as why produce a platform to still trade in the shares.???

Honestly, I give up. What a bunch of Lilly-livered no-hopers you lot are. I have given you all the ammo and Info you could ever wish for to be men and stand up to the root cause of your losses. And still you think about how this nonsense can return a profit. Grow a pair u lot. Get to Cheshire, into his pub in Knutsford and front him up for all your money (and more). Anyone ? Nah, bunch of Pansies. All talk no action. You deserve what you get. Sundowner now for me. Chin-chin.

Very difficult to know what a company will be prepared to pay for assets

User Data

The accumulation of high-quality data covering large parts of the Chinese population remains at the core of the Group's longer-term strategy. As with all of China's largest internet portals, a substantial database is imperative for supporting and sustaining growing revenues at higher margins across all the Group's verticals, driving our B2C rollout and positioning us well to capitalise on major opportunities for advertising income. Our strong relationships with existing partners give us considerable confidence in our capabilities for generating revenues from data. The Directors believe that our user data will, over time, deliver a quantifiable value to the Group's balance sheet

Bnn has 50 million users data from 6 months ago

Wouldn’t have a clue on shorts google it.
Question
If the shares are still going to be traded on a platform does the short still end up as zero or if the price rises due to takeover will the short have to pay up!!

Haha, it’s all kickin off....when will u lot realise this mess is down to one man. I have always said “follow the money”. This mess has been created by and for the benefit of one man....Mercer. My sources as I enjoy another Pina Colada and about to take the last jetski of the day tell me Mercer is back in Cheshire giving it large. Get a grip guys. The root cause of all your ups and downs, your if buts and maybes, is a scam artist. I hear he has a £120k Bentley that he used BNN cash funds to buy. That’s your money!!! Add into the mix Sandy Lane hols, a wedding in Cap Ferrat (that didn’t happen at the last minute (just as BNN was suspended)), and a 6* lifestyle globetrotting on your money, and work out where you’re all going. It’s been a Ponzi Mercer scam. He has rolled locals over, investors over, and his quick-fix lowlife colleagues over. And yet you lot still live in hope. Go the Cheshire, stand there in his pub and confront him. If you won’t do that, stop bleating. Grow a pair. He has a 65 plate Bentley that’s BNN paid for and you lot ain’t got the balls to reclaim it. Shame on you. Anyway, sun setting and I need another beer. Think about it u lot.

It turns out that when a stock is delisted, short positions are not necessarily closed immediately. Short sellers are exposed to the risk of an indefinite, high-interest stock loan until shares are cancelled.if a stock is the subject of a takeover offer, the shares may have appraisal rights. If the short position is assigned against shares that exercise these rights, the short seller would ultimately be responsible for the court-ordered compensation months or years later.

and11,

That won't happen, IMO.

I'm afraid they will deal with it as it has delisted from AIM, whatever happens in the future won't count.
