I must agree. This looks like another "pivot" to me. Mobile phone is great for gross revenues, but commissions paid are small (revenues are vanity, profits sanity), so they need a reason to ask for more money, hence the exciting new opportunities.
How much is the Chinese partner investing or is this outside of that JV?
Re the NAsdaq listing did anyone else notice the language " BNN engaged a big four accountancy firm to help support the Company through the NASDAQ application process and we are grateful for their support and advice. They have worked with many clients in China in helping them prepare for a NASDAQ IPO and we expect them to be supporting us in the run up to the NASDAQ listing and beyond"
Key words are "engaged" - why not retained? Also they only "expect" them to work with BNN. If you have retained then they 'will' work with you. Sounds flaky.
Ps for all the talk of 'derampers' posting many times, per day like Topaz (who has Ben spot on!) i assume those people posting in mockery of derampers are therefore the opposite 'rampers'....

Why invest in a book build at current price, all you get is dilution of existing equity...Does that make sense given...It's at or around existing price and open to existing and new institutional investors only. PIs shareholdings will be diluted that's obvious given not subscribing pro-rota to current shareholdings.Look at reasons for raise. They've already got £28mn on balance sheet and could have waited for Nasdaq listing to raise funds if they were desperate as some making it to be..this is entirely to fund the two new portals.

They state they already have a good deal of cash on balance sheet at year end, clearly already allocated, but makes you wonder if they are not pursuing too many objectives at once, I could see this simply get destroyed if say Alibaba encroached into their territory through Alipay!

And who published the results on this thread, not necessary, this is a load of nothing this company, mug punters and run by a guy who was given a shot across the bow by the BHB, and a politician in the House of Lords with an interesting background!

Results in line with what I was expecting namely £1-2M revenues and £16-18M loss, so at top end of revenues and bottom end of loss. Didn't see placing coming but raising cash for 2 new platforms/services. Accelerated book build makes it interesting, agree tsmith2. Will be taken up rapidly.

BNN's investment into the two new platforms will be funded from the net proceeds of a conditional two-stage placing of new ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") (the "Placing Shares") to be undertaken by way of an accelerated book-build to raise up to GBP25 million before expenses through Mirabaud Securities LLP, at or around the current market price of an Ordinary Share (the "Placing").It's an accelerated book build at or around current market price and given reasons for the raise and bullish nature of statements in results...could get painful for shorters?

From Bnn last week Gross volume from sept,oct and nov 273 m Gross volume from dec,Jan and feb over 400m An increase of over 46% Figures from Bnn already speak for themselves ,good upward trend

Sounds pretty solid "wla2510" but hoping for results tomorrow followed by updated broker report a week later! There will also be more news on further contracts signed for roll out during 2017 imho!!! Onwards & upwards! GLA except Topaz of course (she's away with the fairies as usual).
